Walshy5 Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 We,re 99% sure that Pearsons departure was down to mandaric. Therefore what sort of reception do you think he,ll get from the majority of our supporters next week?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Round of applause for making me proud to support our beloved club again. It was due to MM IMO.
Rich Fox Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 He would get a good reception but hopefully no Leicester fans chanting his name as we need to get behind Sven and give him a really good welcome, surely no one would boo Nigel? I definatly wont.
Matt Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 I'll always have huge respect for him, and I'll clap him, welcome him back next week, but when 3pm comes it all ends for 90 minutes, and I hope many other fans join me - None of the nonesense similar to when Hume came back that was cringeworthy. And Pearson did more for us than Hume.
stever Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Come on do we really have to ask this!!?? He will probably and IMO should get a standing ovation adn one of the biggest cheers and reponses of the season. My question is how will Sven be greeted??
Spiritwalker Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 He will get a good reception, I hope we don't start chanting his name though. We need to move on, Sven is our manager now and it will be his first game.
m00nie Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 he wont get any reception from me.. untill were beating him 3.0 at half time and il be chanting pearson whats the score...

Guest Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 A decent and respectful welcome back, right before we go on to hammer his team. The way things should be
lcfcbradyboy Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 a good welcome back message that reads nigel pearson wat a willy puller wat a willy puller just 4 leaving us to a team weaker than us
HonradaRaposa Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 He should get boo'd within an inch of his life for resigning and walking out. That's right he walked out left you all for a fatter uglier bird in Humderside. But if you want to sell yourself out and clap him for it after his act of major bottling in the play-offs then shame on each and everyone of you. If a man models his look on action man he can't be trusted, and by walking out and bottling it he's demostrated that.

If a man models his look on action man he can't be trusted, and by walking out and bottling it he's demostrated that. I can't agree with you but I do understand where you are coming from. First and foremost Sven ought to have a formal welcome on the pitch and one that leads to a standing ovation. He is our manager. Nigel deserves our applause and respect but when and how will depend upon when he first appears at the side of the pitch. Once the game starts he is the opposition and we want to win. It is a strange conjunction of events: our last manager but one, well respected by the fans (he resigned but did not really want to leave, so might have 'bottled' it?) is returning to the Walkers for the first home game of our new manager, an ex England manager with an international reputation, supported by new owners prepared to invest in the club. Nigel will be urging his team on; he will not try to attract attention from his former fans and I imagine he may find it quite difficult emotionally.
cc_star Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 I'll applaud him before the start of the game but after that... he can go fook himself Don't forget he walked out just because Manderic allowed another club to talk to him... most managers walk out because their chairmen blocks them from speaking to someone else. SPLITTER! Sven & Faz deserve our attention

I mean anybody could have got us promoted, and getting to the playoffs is a piece of piss- just look how well we are doing this season. Bottled the playoffs we were a penalty or two from Wembley. Best manager we have had for years and should never have been disposed of. Will deserve every clap he gets. Anybody who does boo really will need their heads testing.
cc_star Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Yeah, completely fooked up while he was here didn't he? Just because someone never put their arm around him (will applaud him at the start though because he did a good job for us whilst he was in charge, but walking isn't the done thing to do)
Austin Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Hope he doesn't get booed, I was proud of what he and the team achieved together. Alot of respect for him for what he did for the club
ousefox Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 He walked! Just because someone never put their arm around him (will applaud him at the start though because he did a good job for us whilst he was in charge, but walking isn't the done thing to do) Sousa was a guest at both the playoff games, bad relations with Lee Hoos, obviously wasn't given the contract he was after, and investors were shown around the club while he was on holiday. Admittedly the latter reason isn't as big as the others and maybe some people wouldn't think any of those are good enough reasons to walk but we all know what Pearson was like.
Prospero Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Hope he doesn't get booed, I was proud of what he and the team achieved together. Alot of respect for him for what he did for the club I can't believe he will be booed, after all he did for us in restoring pride in the club. This will not happen, whatever motive for his resignation might be surmised. Our loyalty now, however, is to Sven and his team.
acooling08 Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Do NOT chant his name. KO applause yes, but GET BEHIND SVEN. I swear if we start chanting Pearsons name It'll be the most cringeworthy moment for a LCFC fan in the clubs history. What will Svennis think?
wakeyfox01 Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 If a man models his look on action man he can't be trusted I have to admit that made me chuckle. I won't give him any special attention because it's Sven's first game and we need to get behind this manager and team rather than dwell on the past. I respect him for the job he did for us and won't boo or slag him off, but I'm not going to chant his name or go out of my way to applaud him.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Should get a good reception, and I hope he does.
Corky Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 I'll applaud him before kick-off and then concentrate fully on our manager and team, hoping we get another three points to continue our recovery. In a way, it's probably good Sousa isn't in charge, because if he was, we struggle early on and go behind, the likelihood is that the crowd would sing for Pearson, which wouldn't help at all. With a new man the supporters are going to give him a chance to settle in.
Salieri Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Anyone who wouldn't give Pearson anything but a warm reception is a complete and utter moron. However, the focus should be on welcoming our new manager of course, and hopefully the start of great things.
unreachable Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 I expect NP to get a good reception. I didn't applaud MON who returned with Celtic after walking out on us so I will act in the same way with regard to NP.
poopbutt Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 applause and a cheer for NP it's what he deserves
