davieG Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 no im not, but the road was renamed filbert way to retain links with the past. I think its the choice of many to be honest. The Road on which it is built is Eastern Boulevard / Raw Dykes Road which I believe changes at the island at the end of Burnmoor St. As for Filbert Way that's just the little bit of road leading off the Eastern Boulevard into the stadium and was dreamt up by the club as a sop to the fans to take the sting out of the protest at the stadium being called the Walkers Bowl otherwise there'd be no reason to name that little bit at all as it's in effect the 'driveway' to the Stadium. I don't see anyone else's driveway getting it's own name, well mine hasn't Perhaps I should call the council and ask them to name it davieG Way.

Logic would tell you that any change would be because it increases income, Singha would be paying significantly more than Walkers including having to buy them out of their contract.
