Alexikokopops Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Where's the option for "I don't mind"? I'd probably prefer the Walkers if I had to choose one, but I really don't care which of the two it is.
Tommeh Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 How about the Fosse ground? Wallace Way? Lineker Street? The O'Neill Ground? The Heskey Stadium? The Steve Howard Stand? I think we need to get real and see the benfits, for years people have been saying "I wish one of these billionaires would buy Leicester City and put a shed load of money in". It's happening now, we have a world class manager and signed 2 Premier League players in the space of the last week, and all we do is piss and moan about what company sponsors our ground????!!!! Sorry, but if they want to pump in the hundreds of thousands in wages and millions in transfer fees that it's going to take to get us back where we belong, they can call the stadium "The King Power Singha Beer Walkers Crisps Jiffy's Condoms Stadium" for all i care. Yes people, not myself which is the whole point I believe in the points I've raised. Never has a post matched an avatar so well.
Steven Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Filbert Street Stadium Sponsored by King Power in Association with Singha Beer Best suggestion so far.
Zingari Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 "The drums have stopped!" "Yeah, Jobber's taking his quarter-match pie break." fire at will
Fosse Boy Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Take me hooooooooooooooome, Raw Dykes Roooooooooooooooad...
Ford Super Sunday Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 If we're gonna have the stadium sponsored, what about the pitch! 'The King Power Group Pitch at the Singha Beer Stadium' Catchy.
Spudulike Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Filbert Way ?? Jeezzzz. Where is the stadium ?? FREEMEN'S bleeding WHARF, that's where it is. Why change it's name to something it's not. A sponsor's name is irrelevant.
cambridgefox Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 The Wayne Rooney stadium. It might twist his arm!
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 well i voted king power sounds better....BUT it should just stay as the walkers

Wymsey Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 I thought when this stadium was built it was going to be called the name at the moment for 10 years?
Corky Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 I thought when this stadium was built it was going to be called the name at the moment for 10 years? The existing contract is probably going to be bought out.
Karljohn Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Kit Kat Crescent has to be the most awful stadium name, but I am confident that LCFC can go one better..... The Singha King Power Walkers Beer Bowl perhaps. Raw Dykes Den? The Junior Lewis Stadium? Vicky Vixen Way?
Jace Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 regardless of sponsorship if the fans call the stadium filbert way in time that is the name that will become recoinised in football for the ground, especially if the sponsorship name changes often, personally i think it should be called Svens Den
Spudulike Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 check the postal address fool. Are you saying that it's not built on Freemen's Wharf, Jon ??
Guest Bilo Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Kit Kat Crescent has to be the most awful stadium name, but I am confident that LCFC can go one better..... jonthefox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Are you saying that it's not built on Freemen's Wharf, Jon ?? no im not, but the road was renamed filbert way to retain links with the past. I think its the choice of many to be honest.
Spudulike Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 no im not, but the road was renamed filbert way to retain links with the past. I think its the choice of many to be honest. It was Freemen's Wharf long, long before the road outside was built and named.
jonthefox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Lets strike a deal then. The filbert wharf singha sven stadium.....anyone.
