davieG Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 We're on fire OSTwo wins in a row and two home games coming up; no wonder City fans are licking their lips in anticipation, but manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson, insists it would be dangerous to think the team has turned the corner just yet. Struggling Sheffield United come to the Walkers Stadium on Wednesday night, on the back of a home defeat, but any notion that it is going to be easy for the home side gets short shrift from Eriksson. He said: "If we are that stupid that we think we have an easy game on Wednesday then we should lose. "The position in the table shows there are no easy games. If you are near the top then you might fall into that trap, but we would be stupid to do that." The Blue Army, who were out in force at Barnsley, impressed Eriksson and he is hoping for more of the same on Wednesday night and especially on Saturday when Derby County come to town. He said:"The support was exceptional at Barnsley. Saturday, I understand, is a big derby but I am sure the atmosphere will be good on Wednesday as well. "The fans are fantastic. They want to see their team play good football and win of course and I hope we can go on playing as we did on Saturday. "We have to stand up and fight in every game until we are up there, then we can start to talk about things. We cannot underestimate our opponents." The home fans will be hoping to see new striker Darius Vassell in action. Word of mouth from Oakwell should have conveyed how well Vassell played and Eriksson said about Vassell's chances of a starting place tonight: "There is a good chance. I want to see him in training and if he is ok, then he will start."

MPH Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Don't see a big turnout happening tonight with many saying 'tickets too expensive'etc At least 20,000 tonight. The sven revolution has hittown.
Corky Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Don't see a big turnout happening tonight with many saying 'tickets too expensive'etc I think we'll get 20k tonight, with around 27k on Saturday.
Rich Fox Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 We must do something about our ticket prices they are way too high and they should offer cheap friends and family tickets to season ticket holders so they dont lose out.

FallOfFingolfin Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 The uni's offering a bunch of £5 tickets and I'm going (also 75 buy one get one free beer vouchers). They offered them for the Preston match as well.

FallOfFingolfin Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 OH MORE CHEAP STUFF FOR STUDENTS. SCUM OF THE EARTH THE LOT OF EM. I'm trying to figure out if this is meant to be an ironic post or not.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 I'm trying to figure out if this is meant to be an ironic post or not. And your at university. I wonder why they say standards have slipped....
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 And your at university. I wonder why they say standards have slipped.... YOU'RE. Perhaps you should get to uni.
Poakey Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 We must do something about our ticket prices they are way too high and they should offer cheap friends and family tickets to season ticket holders so they dont lose out. I would love to go tonight, i think it will be a decent atmosphere. I just cant justify spending £60 to watch 2 football matches in the space of 3 days. I can see me asking for a half season ticket of the wife for Christmas. I'll be there on Saturday though.
acooling08 Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 YOU'RE. Perhaps you should get to uni. Zing
Donut Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 With high ticket prices and the Derby game on sat, i cant see there being more than 20k there tonight. Hopefully im wrong
