Fosse Boy Posted 10 December 2010 Posted 10 December 2010 People want to hear new original songs they should stand with Fosse Boys. Got about half a dozen decent new'uns that get airings every game.
1964FOX Posted 10 December 2010 Posted 10 December 2010 so wif 120 years of leicester in all that time we have created 1 songgg lmao exactly we copy people anyway so why not do it at the end of the day it's a song but if ur 1 of those who only sing when were wining then wouldn't surprise me How did you know I only sing when we are doing well, we have to be at least two goals up and then I will sing "when you're smiling" just once. We've never seen a team like you before We're blue and White right to the core And the ghost of Filbert Street still roars Cos we've never seen a team like you before.
yorkie1999 Posted 10 December 2010 Posted 10 December 2010 when yer smilin sounds crap cos its sung at 90 mph and by the time you hear it, it's finished so no one can join in. be better if they sung it at the right speed and tune or sing it for 10 minutes and give the rest of us a chance. can't hear the east stand sing, can't hear the east stand sing, can't hear the east stand sing we'll sing on our own, we'll sing on our own, we'll sing on our own, were lcfc, we'll sing on our o,o,o,o, own. springs to mind but everyone is singin it and its boring. might get them singing over ther though. wooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh we luv yer, we luv yer, we luv yer and where you go we'll follow, we'll follow, we'll follow cos we support the leicester, the leicester, the leicester and thats the way i like it, i like it , i like it wooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh thats the way uh uh uh uh, i like it, uh uh uh uh thats the way uh uh uh uh, i like it, uh uh uh uh would sound great but i can't imagine me grandad singin it in the kop someone ought to make a song up using "Fox on the run" by the sweet cos no one else would sing that
MPH Posted 11 December 2010 Posted 11 December 2010 not getting upset tho am i, why don't you think of a new song at the walkers then and lets have a dig at you !!! yeah, course you didnt get upset. we believe you And were you really thinking of a new song or just ripping off someone elses? there's a difference.. and no one was having a dig at you, they just didnt agree with you....
Kitchandro Posted 11 December 2010 Posted 11 December 2010 I'd like to sing songs that are original to us too but unfortunately it's hard for them to catch on especially when only a small percentage of the ground sings. And the thing with chants is they have to be straightforward and simple. Some chants people think up are very good but there's not a hope of people learning it unless you give them a songsheet. Take When You're Smiling for example, we've been singing it for over 40 years but a lot of people still can't do it because it's has more than 3 lines I know it's sad but it's true. (And tbf, another reason is it's sung too fast, and I know the lyrics and everything but I swear most people are signing it wrong).
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 December 2010 Posted 11 December 2010 He doesn't read this forum, but I can ask him for you. Seriously, please do. Its embarassing and too reminiscent of the new wembley and the new breed of football 'fan'. Literally happy clappers

North-LondonFox Posted 11 December 2010 Posted 11 December 2010 Right lads - i've come up with a new song - everybody is welcome to slate it and i'm sure it won't catch on ...,.but fook it let's have a go: To the tune of By the Rivers of Babylon. 'From the stands of Filbert Street - that's where we're from, there-re we stood and cheered the mighty foxes on' I suppose we could add more verses!
cambridgefox Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 You are missing the point, we would just be the same as all those other clubs singing that particular song - showing no originality in our choices. I'm all for "new" chants but surely it would be better if they were original and unique to us? We should be leading and let others follow, we have a few cracking chants unique to us but unfortunately they don't seem to get much of an airing these days. Singing OUR songs is still better than copying anybody else's in my opinion. Agreed, but as you said we will lead and others will follow, who will get the credit .Not us,sometimes think it would be easier to copy other chants, that lots know, and join in,just to get the number of chants on the increase, instead of the same old few chants the majority sing .I understand these few chants that are sung are not aimed at everyone.
surrifox Posted 13 December 2010 Posted 13 December 2010 WHAT DO YOU THINK TO THIS BUT ISTEAD OF SINGING YOUNG BOYS, IT'S LEICESTER??? clearly we can't be seen singing about loving young boys
North-LondonFox Posted 14 December 2010 Posted 14 December 2010 I'm desperate for us to come up with a decent song - nothing better than a good sing sonn in a oub before a game.
Fosse Boy Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 I'm desperate for us to come up with a decent song - nothing better than a good sing sonn in a oub before a game. We've got quite a few but hardly anyone can ever be bothered to sing 'em!
Corky Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 We've got quite a few but hardly anyone can ever be bothered to sing 'em! We're the left side, we're the left side.........
