Waste of time with Davie Gibson not being on there although you can hardly compare him with the goalkeepers who were the best two English goalkeepers I've ever seen and the record--breaking goalscoring of Arthur Rowley takes some arguing with too.

There are eight or nine on that list who wouldn't get close to being the best players.

Trouble is the younger fans cannot remember the likes of Gibson, Derek Hogg and many others before them including those who reached various FA Cup Finals.

But for sheer skill and ability to manouevre a ball I saw no-one better in 53 years than Gibbo, and we achieved a lot in those days too and against some top class sides.

There's been a massive change in approach too. The speed of modern football makes it hard to make comparisons but I do know this. If a young Davie Gibson were signed by Leicester tomorrow the fans would be drooling.

He was a master of ball control, speed, spin, flight he made life so easy for all around him. And I don't think it would have made much difference how fast the game was. In fact, with the protection players get nowadays and the near perfect playing surfaces, he'd might well have been even better in the modern game.

Went for Elliott, he was captain when i first started supporting City, and he was a rock of the team, loved him for those two goals in the Cup Final aswell.

In my era it's got to be Muzzy Izzet, used to love to watch him play. So gifted and at one point could have played for England. My dad always raves about how good Keith Weller was and clips I've seen of both him and Worthington speak volumes. Worthingtons goal for Huddersfield is one of the best I've ever seen.

I would agree with Izzet but I would also have to mention Mark Draper he was absolute class although the players around him probably made him look even better.

Who voted for Taggs? Don't get me wrong, I clearly love the man, but the best player we've ever had?! He'd have a good laugh about that; he wasn't even the best centre half in the team he was playing in!

I had to vote for Lineker; he was my era. If you boil football down to the bones, it's a simple matter of putting the ball in the net, and no one did that so ruthlessly as our Gary. He was also (arguably) the best in the world in his position; you can't say that about many others on the list.

Lineker was my first footballing hero, but because of Italia '90 as I was too young to remember him for Leicester. Walsh and Izzet were absolute beastlings and I can't seperate the pair of the,. Collymore bar none is the most gifted player I have ever seen and that's not just in a Leicester shirt.
