The answer all depends on what the question actually means....

Does the question mean greatest players to ever play for Leicester in a competeative match, or is the question the greatest player to play & contribute to Leicester City's success?

I have opted to think you mean the latter & have gone for Walshy as he lifted a League cup & was an intergeral part of the successful side & scored in a wonderful Wembly day against Derby...actually thinking about it he was huge for the club & I aint got time to mention everything he did in a 14 year period!

If the question is regarding best player to play for us, but to have achieved at another club... You could argue the toss for ever more...

Walshy for me as I grew up with him skippering City being an absolute hero in the MON side. Closely followed by Muzzy for being one of the classiest players i've seen wearing the shirt and one who epitomises LCFC for me.

Didn't want to speculate with older generations as I have only seen clips and heard stories.

Yes Arthur Rowley. He didnt just keep scoring ,I remember a few that made a hole in the net ,or took the keeper in with the ball, what a player !

Have Voted for Walshy because of his performances at both ends of the park and superb leadership however the most talented player ive seen in a City shirt although too briefly was Stan the man Collymore

i think you may be confusing him with a comic book or cartoon footballer ,

Waste of time with Davie Gibson not being on there although you can hardly compare him with the goalkeepers who were the best two English goalkeepers I've ever seen and the record--breaking goalscoring of Arthur Rowley takes some arguing with too.

There are eight or nine on that list who wouldn't get close to being the best players.

Trouble is the younger fans cannot remember the likes of Gibson, Derek Hogg and many others before them including those who reached various FA Cup Finals.

But for sheer skill and ability to manouevre a ball I saw no-one better in 53 years than Gibbo, and we achieved a lot in those days too and against some top class sides.

There's been a massive change in approach too. The speed of modern football makes it hard to make comparisons but I do know this. If a young Davie Gibson were signed by Leicester tomorrow the fans would be drooling.

He was a master of ball control, speed, spin, flight he made life so easy for all around him. And I don't think it would have made much difference how fast the game was. In fact, with the protection players get nowadays and the near perfect playing surfaces, he'd might well have been even better in the modern game.
