Sven still searching for answers

I could have picked out a load of stuff from what was said originally, but this original post was by far the most comical, so I'll lead off from this...lol

Back in October when Paulo Sousa was still in charge, I suggested that you must play your best players and not be fooled to believe that you can rotate a squad that has no depth. Sousa failed in his attempt to bring a more positive way of playing ( ). Nigel Pearson had introduced a team that was solid with no nonsence tactics and few changes in the line-up. Players last season adapted well and we ended up in the play-off's. No need to make too many changes.

There was no adapting at all. We were the same organised, predictable unit we were the season previous to that.

The players I suggested, and that was available, were Jason Roberts (Blackburn), Darren Ambrose (Crystal Palace) and Danny Shittu (Bolton). Would have been enough to strengthen the squad in the areas needed, and the price of these three players would have been in the region of £ 1 million. The money would have been available from the Campbell sale. DJ is a good player but never been good at Leicester and he never really clicked (I'm not clicking with this either) with City fans, management and other players.

 - how do you know these players were available? Did they queue up outside the Walkers asking for a job? Or are you just assuming that anyone mentioned in a transfer market automatically must, without hesistation, be called upon by LCFC?

Sven came in and his mind was set on other things (what things? are we talking football here...? ;) ) that trying to build a stronger team around the players he got, and he has not yet managed to find out who is his best. The way he has managed to stress Chris Weale (lol) is a riddle and not good management. Weale was a £ 2 million Tottenham target just a year ago and one of the most solid goalkeepers in the Championship. He is not England quality, but a rock solid goalkeeper who never makes big blunders and one that you should be able to use at this level. He has shown Sven that he can be his 1st choice.

What's your definition of an England quality GK then? Is he allowed small blunders...

I could carry on pointing out yet further comical content but it's getting late. This part is just plain daft though,,,

Let's hope that Sven does the right moves in the near future and manage to understand that stabillity, experience and bonding has a big part to play when it comes to building football teams and that the Championship is a leage that you don't have too much time to fix errors, it can end in relegation for top class managers doing a fantastic job in other clubs, do you remember Ian Holloway ?

The guy is one of the most experienced and well-known names in the game of football and you're practically telling him how he should go about his job as if he's a trainee.

Unbelieveable! lol

And here I was, thinking that Ivarti was a certainty to be our next manager or personal advisor to SGE.

No, that's my job...

Totally untrue.

Fryatt had several clubs chasing him in the previous loan window, but opted to stay to fight for his place.

Actually Fryatt didn't want to leave on LOAN, he wanted a permanent move. All this staying to fight for his place is crap.

I wonder if Sven has been to the new Spearmint in town yet?

Are you the fooking woman who rings up RL and complains that Fryatt's not playing?

He had a good season in League 1, and proved that he's just not that good at any level higher than that.

Bored of complete ****wits making out Fryatt was the new Lineker.

Nice to see the engangement and the number of people who have replied and viewed the topic. This shows that we alle have different opinions about what is going on at the club. Also nice to see that so many supports the job done by Sven so far. Sven has done ok, and taken the team into a steady position in the Championship. But there are still a number of questions to ask and they are not yet answered for.

The signings in the summer was not anything Sven could have done anything about, he was not at the club. But to answer that, yes those three players were available for a low price, Shittu was released and sign a short term contract with Millwall. He is a quality central defender and played in the World Cup. He did well at Watford before joining Bolton. Ambrose could have left Palace in the summer, Jason Roberts was also available and not in the plans at Ewood Park.

i am not telling anyone how to do their job, but just pointing out a number of things. I am supportive and hopes that we can find a good way forward, sadly I don't beleive that the Bamba's, Parker's and other foreign imports from reserve teams around Europe and UK are the right way forward.

i have seen 75 % of Leicester games this season, either in the Stadium or on telly. so my judgement should be based on the fact that I watched City regularly.

I'm kinda with you - I think Sven could have worked with what he'd got better, although he was right to strengthen the defence in the way he did, Vassell was also a great piece of business on a free.

The loan signings look in disarray with Naughton & Davies' future unknown and probably lying away from us we need to rebuild the defence yet again, but given that Sven joined us after the transfer window he couldn't do anything more than he did in making loan signings

Some people on here won't be happy unless we have 22 players all on £60k/wk+ which will see us collapse & bankrupt under a debt mountain within 5 years if results ever took a turn for the worse.

Although I get the speculating to accumulate argument and we won't get better unless we reach out to a better class, more expensive player - which is true (perhaps I'm just a naturally cautious person and I remember our administration all too well, of course its different these days as the 10pt dock can mean you fall through the leagues not just get relegated)

Do you have an e-mail address. I will not make anymore comments on this topic at this website. My suspisions are not based on "air", so would be great to see if anyone else have the same knowledge.
