Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 what about your attendances when you had stuart pearce in charge before you had all this money ? your ground was empty every week
skyblueinpeace Posted 9 January 2011 Author Posted 9 January 2011 what about your attendances when you had stuart pearce in charge before you had all this money ? your ground was empty every week 41,000 average attendence?? and we had just moved from a 34,000 ground so our attendences wouldnt go up straight away
skyblueinpeace Posted 9 January 2011 Author Posted 9 January 2011 u was clearly one of the 100 or so standing fans nxt to the city fans who clearly didnt know anything about football
Craig Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 what about your attendances when you had stuart pearce in charge before you had all this money ? your ground was empty every week Not sure how we can say much when they were by far better supported than we ever will be when their ground was 'empty', and we've just filled our ground for the first time in ages...
Bert Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Unfortunately, we have some moronic fans, who have no idea what they're on about. Thanks for the kind words looking forward to a trip to eastlands.
Alexikokopops Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 what about your attendances when you had stuart pearce in charge before you had all this money ? your ground was empty every week What, you mean 2005/06 when Man City had the fourth highest average attendance in the Premier League with 42856? Or 2006/07 when they were 6th with 39997? Definitely empty every week.
STUHILL Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 city fan here.... just want to say... was at the game today and credit to your team they really played well!! good luck in the prem next year yes i do think u will get promoted if u play like tht everyweek. 1 question tho.... wen u sing "were was u wen u was shit" it made me giggle as it makes no sence haha.... we was getting 32,000 wen we was in div 2... 12 yr ago Was a great game. Just wondered how you thought your lads played? I thought Tevez didn't look bothered 1st half really. Not quite sure why Jo is still a player for you either. Thought we just edged it overall but you guys always looked dangerous. Did any of our players stand out for you? Cheers and good luck for season, I hate MAN U so be pleased if you can beat them
Stevosevic Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Not sure how we can say much when they were by far better supported than we ever will be when their ground was 'empty', and we've just filled our ground for the first time in ages... First time in ages? As in boxing day
Craig Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 First time in ages? As in boxing day But that wasn't classed as a sell out was it...
Stevosevic Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 But that wasn't classed as a sell out was it... Not a sell out, no, but basically full. Not even man utd 'sell out' every week but it is full.
bjblyth Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 u was clearly one of the 100 or so standing fans nxt to the city fans who clearly didnt know anything about football Your username claims you come in peace. Your attitude in this post claims otherwise. Don't ruffle feathers, if any of the idiots on here come back at you - ignore them or rise above them. Don't bite man. I thought it was a cracking game and I thank you for the recognition of the display we put on today. I hope our players take confidence from today in to the league and maybe we will play you next season As previously asked, did any of our players stand out to you? Look forward to another great game at your place. And to the Foxes fans on here - quit jerking about with the stadiums sizes and attendances. What a sh!t argument. Manchester is 3x the size of Leicester, it's bound to have bigger attendances, it has a bigger population. Quit being such numb-nuts!
Leicester_Loyal Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 I thought Man City looked great on the break, I was always nervous when they were counter attacking. Jo is pretty crap, not worth the money you paid for him IMO.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 I think the "where were you when we were shit" was aimed at the extra 8,000 or so Leicester fans that managed to find their way to the Walkers today. Personally I love to see a full house (even if it is only once or twice a season), but who am I to have a pop at them for not turning up. Don't bother me - I'm there week in week out.

All due respect to you for making it week in, week out mate. I must say though that so many people have been affected by the recession one way or another and can't afford to do that. Attending football matches wouldn't be top of my priority list if I was stretched financially. As it happens the reason I don't make it every week is I live near Manchester and work most Saturday mornings - and there will be a thousand other reasons why peoples personal circumstances can't get them to the games each week. Let's just be grateful that every once in a while we do get sell outs, unlike so many other clubs who never come close to reaching the attendances we average.

Just because I'm lucky enough to be a single chap I can do what I want when I want, not everyone is the same. People have families to support, and a million other committments that will take priority over a football game. I say, fair play to them for making it when they can. The fact that Leicester played out their skin today and the game was enjoyed by all will have a positive impact on the fans that don't/can't normally make it week in week out, might see one or two more of them at the next game.....which is only a good thing surely.
Kitchandro Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 The chants are light hearted banter, I don't think anyone could question Man City's support and I don't think you could question ours either, compared to most other clubs at our level and in a similar sized City. The chant was aimed at the people who have recently decided they support Man City for no real reason, conveniantly when they've become rich. You cannot argue that there are some people out there who have done that, that just comes with being a massive club, as you are now. I have a mate who decided to support Man City all of a sudden when they got back in the Premiership and we were relegated to the Championship a few years ago. And I've got other mates who support Man U, and I'm sure you can guess that they're actually from Leicester and have no affiliation with them. I don't even mind it that much but I hate it when they claim they started supporting them because of another reason (such as they're 'likeable' or 'they play good football' <_< ) to try and justify it. Anyway, don't see why it needed to be brought up tbh.

You looked so dangerous at times, especially through Johnson as you weren't getting much joy in the middle. I was surprised at the amount of chances we had, after seeing your widely criticised (but perfect) away performance at the Emirates last week. Hopefully we can acquit ourselves just as well in the replay (which I hate, as neither of us need an extra game or the money) Good luck for the rest of the season, other than the replay of course. And thanks to Mancini & Sven's friendship, keep loaning us quality players
Kitchandro Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Agree with that. Note - Great sig mate! Preston away is a great away day.....shame I have to miss it this season. cheers, yeh having been there last season it's nice to have a sig that reminds me of it, was a great day. Can't go this season either, going Sheff Utd and Derby (and maybe Man City now) so sadly i can't afford it.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 I agree with several of the posts above - Man City have great support, Manchester is a big City. Leicester have good support also and i think in these recession hit times our support is still around 23-24'000 on average i think roughly, fantastic really. im someone who has previously had a season ticket and travelled away when i can afford it etc but for the last 8 seasons ive only been a member as a i do shift work now and cant make it to at least 50 per cent of home or away games as im working on a saturday / tues / weds etc. I was there today but not a Johnny come lately as ive been coming down the Filbo since 1979-80 season regulary. This season i have been to QPR, Hull City, Sheffield united, Derby County, Notts F****t, Leeds united and obviously Man City (all at home). I also had tickets for the Doncaster home game but was called into work last minute (after booking holiday from work and buying tickets etc) so fairly commited fan i think. In general i thought todays game was fantastic and both sets of supporters were good, although apart from the two goals i didnt hear much else from Man City (not a dif though i promise). im looking forward to the replay - but sadly think i will be working although Man City will prob win 3-0 or so (i hope Leicester prove me wrong)
yorkie1999 Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Not being funny or anything, but they reminded me of leeds, both support and how they played.
Stevosevic Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 From what I have heard their support was not as good as leeds?
Kitchandro Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 From what I have heard their support was not as good as leeds? No but in fairness, Leeds were in front for most of the match.
