Being an away fan in the home end...?

They have to offer us 15% of the capacity

thats 0.15 *47,726=

7 158

minus a few for segregation should leave us with an allocation of nearing 7000.

And i'm also not sure Man City will sell out there allocation so maybe they'll give us a few more?:fc:

Key word being offer. We could refuse the large allocation.

It looks likely to be on the TV again aswell....so hopefully that will deter the 4k odd that would have been tempted to jump on the bandwagon.

I sat in the Holte End at Villa Park when we beat Villa in the cup (2-1 I think) under Taylor. It wasn't that difficult keeping schtum when we scored, though I think most people around me twigged I was a City fan. I suspect it helped that I was sat with a mate who was a Villa fan.

Just don't wear colours!

i went in pen 1 at filbo 20 odd years ago with a villa mate.

Was boxing day we done em 4-2 1 up after 10 mins i found out why its called boxing day :S

Also managed to see the game out in there don't know how though.

So a little advice keep ya mouth shut n stay off the pogo stick if we score :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh:

Ah... Ive never done it at a Leicester game per se - But me and my dad won an Exec. Box at Derby, a good few seasons back, in the Premier League.

The opposition were, weirdly enough, Man City.

We cheered when Man City scored and were given some really evil looks and the odd word or 2 from the fans below :giggle:

Needless to say, if looks could kill, I wouldnt be here to tell the tale.

I couldnt imagine to think what would have happened if I was sitting in the stands!!

Living in cornwall always find it difficult getting tickets for play off finals semis etc, sat with home fans at pompey, stoke and last year cardiff was outed at cardiff after there first goal but chatted throughout with cardiff fan he was not happy at 3-1 too us would have been interesting if we had won, too be honest have seen away fans treated much worse at filbert st and walkers.

Just got thinking about the fa cup replay with regards to our allocation and whether it would go to general sale, it got me thinking about sitting in the home end.

I've never done it before and to be honest I don't think I could, I imagine I'd find it very difficult to keep my mouth shut and my emotions to myself, but I suppose how normal you can be depends on who it's against and where you sit.

Still, I think I'd probably fear for my safety if I was on my own, not so much during but maybe right after walking out the ground.

Who has actually done it before then?

I've done it a few times tbh ... but its not something I would recommend...Because it used to be quite hard to get tickets I would try to get in by whatever means. Against Stoke at the old Victoria ground i got in with their lot and they are evil...when we scored the only thing that stopped me getting my head kicked in was a group of Leicester fans just below who got taken out by the stewards and diverted attention. I had to wait until i got back to my car and just exploded with joy...nasty Stoke bar stewars!!! I have also sat in the Stretford End although there wasnt a great deal to shout about on that particular day. I also sat with the Shewsbury fans in that epic Cup game in the 70s but they were pussies... by the time we scored the winner I jumped up so much that i twisted my ankle and no-one could be bothered with me!!! Oh yea and sat with the Crewe fans last game of League 1 year but they just joined in woth our celebrations

i sat in the forest end last season with my mate (who forest fan) wasn't a good game to see when we got beat 5-1, best bit for me was a leicester fan getting her tits out

Exactly the same for me. I was at that match in the Forest end on a stag do for one of my mate's who is a Forest fan. Horrible, horrible experience - especially as everyone else on the stag loved taking the piss.

I'll definitely never do that again and wouldn't recommend it to anybody, win or lose it's not going to be a great experience, the best you could really hope for is a bore draw.

I have done it a few times at various grounds such as Cov, Blackpool and Chelsea - and it has been pretty frustrating to be honest. I kept quiet, but having to sit in silence ruined the atmosphere for me! The only good one was MK Dons a couple of years ago and that was as there was so many of us, and the home fans were mainly neutrals!! I would avoid doing it at Man City!

If your trying it for Manchester City end then be warned, there nasty fcukers.

I did it about 20 years ago, after I'd moved to Manc. Took son & daughter into the Kippax. Man C were playing crap, all their fans were on the player's backs throughout the half; all of a sudden they seemed to twig that we three, in contrast, had been quiet as mice the whole time; so we were sussed.

What followed was quite nasty. One huge bleeder strode down to accost us; my daughter unwisely gave him a sharp elbow jab; the whole stand behind us started baying and advancing. Luckily, one decent oppo fan intervened sufficiently to allow us to skedaddle and be shepherded to safety by the barstewards (bless their cotton socks!), and we watched the remainder from a safer area. Our misery was compounded when Man C bucked up in the second half and stuck a few past us.

Not that going in the away end was without it's problems. On another occasion I watched from there, but at the end of the game we were held back, penned in like animals. Quite scarey, such a confined space, and God knows what would have happened if a fire had broken out. Eventually we were let out and herded off to the train station for our return to Leicester. I had a helluva job managing to slip out so I could get back to my Manchester home!

Ive been in the home end (main stand) against Aston Villa years ago in that classic 4-4 draw when Leicester came back from 4-1 to draw 4-4, i kept quiet until the equaliser then exploded, luckily not too many meat heads around me so just got some dirty looks. Been in the home end against West Brom a few years ago and luckily sat near some decent fans and that was fine 1-1 draw i think? Ive even sat in the F****t end when Leicester lost 3-2 there in the 80's - that was shite obviously. First ever game i went to was away at Notts County and sat in the home stand there although on that occassion there were more Leicester fans than County if i remember rightly and we won 1-0. All in all it depends how you act, if your near decent fans and not meat heads and obviously dont take the pish if we win as you wouldnt like it the other way around would you?

Done it a few times, at Leeds, Newcastle, Bolton, and Blackpool to name some!

The one at Newcastle was great as we equalised in the last minute so we could go mental and walk straight out :scarf:

At Leeds, I was with some of their fans in the Directors Area in the middle of the stand as my dads mate was matchday sponsor. Got some funny looks as we cheered when we scored in the first half, and the stewards couldn't do a thing!! Awesome.

i done it at villa years ago.Think we won 3-1.

My brother lived in sutton coldfield and got me a ticket in the holte end,my brother,my mate and me went and my brother who does not support Leicester(liverpool) said we would be ok if we kept our mouth shut. Now it was going ok till we warmed up,Claridge was getting pelters for being ex blue nose,i was seething. The match started, who scored early doors Claridge,i went mental. There was loads of Leicester fans there, they were getting kicked out, where i just got threatened by fat brummies.

It went 1 each they gave me shit again,at this point we were giving mouth back, just to make them think we were nutters and didnt give a shit.

Just before half time we got a penalty,i was thinking Parker miss for my safety. He scored,i got punched and a cup of tea over me,i twatted someone ,my brother and my mate did too, and we are not thugs. It was mayem,im a big lad,but i was shitting myself, the stewards got us, and chucked us out for our own safety.i was relieved,as a passing shot some lads followed us into the concourse and i was too busy looking at them, i kicked some beers over that were on the floor.More upset brummies.

For years i refused to go in an away end until div 1 away at Peterborough, me and the same mate went, and we lost 2-0.i was behind our dugout with them giving Pearson shit.i kept silent this time(matured), we were on thelocal sports news.Loads of happy Peterborough fans and 2 blokes with faces like smacked arses!

I would do it now as im all grown up and can bite my tongue, but i dont enjoy it as i cant join in the singing( jealous to death)

Never been in the wrong end.

I'm not sure I'd be able to control myself and keep quiet if we score or a bad decision goes against us.

MK Dons away in League One - there were more City fans than home fans in the home end (nearly.) Easily 3000 jumped up when Gradel spanked in the stoppage time equaliser. Then again, MK Dons aren't a real club so its easier to get away with it.

never been in wrong end as couldnty manage to keep quiet, however years ago at filbert street was aproached outside ground by 2 brizzle fans in the cup, asking if i coul dbuy them tickets, to which i said yes and made a tidy profit, didnt tell them they were for the kop haha, and after about 10 mins watched them be led away by about 6 stewards , good times and beers with the profit tasted even better

BLUE ARMY !!!!!! :scarf:
