Shrenchel Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Nothing against it particularly but if we start adopting it like what went on saturday seems like the whole things becoming a bit of a circus. 3 seconds of actually going mental, bit of awkwardness whilst kasabian shit on the atmosphere, jobbers drum, carnival de paris, poznan. Repeat next goal. What the fvck happened to just going fvcking nuts and then bellowing out whatever chant seems most appropriate at the time, not having some shithouse routine repeated after every goal. Saw this Millwall stalking. "Leicester used to be a proper knock about club. Filbert Street could be a real hairy place and very noisey...seeing what's happened to them is like going back to your old stomping ground pub and finding out it's been turned into another bland Wetherspoons." Too right.

Too right. Well you could say that about them too. And in fact all clubs nowadays. That's just what modern football has done to the supporters. As for the Poznan, is it any more routine and organised than chanting? Instead of words it's an action, that's the only difference between the Poznan and singing 'Leicester til I die' or whatever. I'll admit the goal music is getting more cringeworthy every time though.
Haydos Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Fair play that comment by them. Keeps making me want to go back to the goal music argument though. So bland, so generic, so manufactured. The roar of fans followed by them breaking into chants is what should follow a goal, not the current fooking chart.
davieG Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Some of them do but now you are generalising. I stand and chant every game and have never booed a player unless it's blatantly obvious that they are not trying. There are some that ONLY stand up and say anything when they are slating someone, so that works both ways. Ha! I'm generalising

Fox92 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Personally I think it is really sad we have had to use another teams celebration (who stole it from another) to generate an atmosphere. Agreed. And it always happens.
Kitchandro Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Ha! I'm generalising Well you are Where have I generalised? I've not
Darkon84 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Should just sit down and give a gentle applause applause? you must be mad!!
Crampy10 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Whats wrong with you boys? Looked quality by all accounts, just enjoy the fact that some people are having a bit of a laugh,The atmosphere in L Block was class on Saturday, I hate music being piped through the speakers but we are original and true to Leicester with Kasabian playing and the whole block jumping up and down backwards singing sol sol bamba was class. How can you criticise that? The days of pen 1 where it was mental are gone, i miss those days too but its not rocket science you have a few beers, try and look the part clothes wise and sing your heart out. We need more original songs so lets keep coming up with those, have you ever heard man united when they go away?? they go through song after song but one bloke is the main man and posts them on their forum and they get going a little more each match, we need to try and do that and have the bollox to stand up and sing it. One last moan is when we do the wave, that should never ever ever be done, its gay. i follow england abroad and love it when the home fans start to do it and it comes round to 2000 english who stand there and give them the willy puller sign, everywhere else people join like sheep with it, anyways....

It sounds like you won't be joining us in the West Stand any time soon, Crampy

Crampy10 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 What are your thoughts on my comments BelleSeb then? I couldnt stop ranting but thats what it all about isnt it on this forum malarkey! I can see why you left to go to the West Stand but if we all did it there would be no one left to create any type of atmosphere, in response to sb fox... you are dead right its sadly lacking! not really sure where I was going with that one, maybe the casuals era and all that and it not being all about waving your scarf or your king prawn shirt like some of the earlier posts were suggesting, should have explained myself a bit more eloquently my apologies.
Christoph Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 The goal music is great, everytime it comes on, all i say are people with big grins on their face.
Alexikokopops Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Hey Kokopops, did you know all football fans don't go around watching videos of Eastern European football teams on You Tube in there spare time? I'm arguing with the fact that minds we changed so quickly, and people just started bumming the Grecque. When they did it, it was passed off as 'Something way to European for Leicester, We're in England, innit?' It's just so double-standardy. I like the first line Not everyone passed it off as "way to European for Leicester" though. I'd imagine there were a lot of people who never really understood what was going on, having never seen it properly before. Sometimes it just takes that spark (in this case a few thousand Man City fans doing it in front of a packed Walkers) to get people understanding it more.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 The goal music is great, everytime it comes on, all i say are people with big grins on their face. Thats becuase we've scored, not because we like kasabian
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 The Poznan is good. It livens it up abit. As much as some fans of other teams moan about Lee Jobber, his 'Carnival De Paris' is also good, gets the crowd moving. Leicester fans should all do one at a time though. In the Kop im tryna join in with L1 and everyone around me's shouting a players name or who are ya ?! If we all did one and then the other in an order, would be so much better.

Im always amazed that the Kop never catch on with what we're doing in L. Obviously sometimes you can't hear us, but you know after every goal we score what happens. Hate it when Jobber bangs the drum quicker and quicker (can't think of any other way to describe it) when we get a free kick- its far too european and gives me horrible memories of happy clapping at wembley for england games

Not a season ticket holder and tend to choose the games I go to but I sat in the Kop last year for the Cov game and joined in with most of L's chants! I could hear them perfectly well, don't understand why the Kopites don't let L1 lead and join in......?

Do one chant after another and it will be loud and the ground bouncing.
Head Honcho Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Am I the only one who thinks we look like a bunch of imbeciles doing this inane chant?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 I reckon theres a bit of rivalry between the Kop and L lock myself. I know for sure that a lad on the back row of L Block tends to take the p*ss when on the odd occasion we do hear the kop. Just get a season ticket in L Block next time! Defintaly the best place to be. Especially for the Derby and Forest victories Am I the only one who thinks we look like a bunch of imbeciles doing this inane chant? which?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Bloody hell. This thread has descended into 'LETS ALL MOAN' or a Rant.

Man city do it for a reason we do it because Man city did it
Crampy10 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 No Head Honcho we dont do it because man city did it, we saw them do it and thought it was pretty cool and we went for it, tell me an entire block celebrating in unison isnt a good thing? Think we still need to work out exactly what we need to sing when we do it as worked well with sol sol bamba on saturday, I think we should do it straight after the kasabian song has died down as you have a mad few moments jumping around. Then we avoid the slightly sad arms going up and down. The kop seems pretty boring to me, I think more and more people each season are coming over to L and K block as they know people sing nearly all match. I think the aim has to be as good as someone like Stoke where there whole ground generates and impressive noise, just cant see this happening at City as too many part timers that only come to see us get a trophy (s****horpe) or play someone big.
