We are a mid-table Championship team and he is one of the greatest goalscorers England has ever produced. What is not to like? Perhaps people think we should be going after Ronaldo or Torres!!

Anyway, anyone that says they wouldn't want Owen is clearly insane. The man came out the womb knowing where the net is. Yes, he might've lost a yard of pace, but his positioning in the box and sheer poaching prowess would get him a sackful of goals. C'mon Sven, pull off another one you lovely Swedish man!

Owen is on a free at the end of the season, and staying at Manure no one will see him play and he cant prove he is over his fitness issues, the chance to play for a manager who knows and likes him from his England years may swing it, and put him in the shop window for a permant move to a prem club be it us or another one for the next season.

But if the opportunity is there to sign Michael Owen you take it, I really have no idea what people expect. I think would be happier signing some piece of shit scoring goals for fun in the blue square premier.
