Liamlcfc1 Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 If this happens i shal go to number 10 downing street and play David Cameron head like Bongo Drums
dhermon Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 He is harder to get or keep fit than Lee Morris and Matt Jones combined so NO THANKS !!
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Yeah about 5 years ago. The guys so injury prone it makes me puke
Fox1651 Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Errm nice idea but it wont happen and even if it did would he be fit for long enough?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Errm nice idea but it wont happen and even if it did would he be fit for long enough? yeah my thoughts aswell, would have been awesome if we could guarantee his fitness etc etc but we cant and he wouldnt come anyway would he?
Cheese Me Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 To be honest, even if he was only fit enough to play 6 games I'd snap their hands off for him - and he's fit right now so no real (current) reason to think he wouldn't manage much more than that. He would surely average at least 2 in 3 in the Championship and this would be the biggest signing for Leicester ever. Can't see it but can't believe anyone wouldn't be delighted if he came
cc_star Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Owen has a part to play. Rooney's form is far from great which just leaves Berby & Hernandez for 3 competitions? For Owen to leave Fergie would surely have to sign sign a replacement as back up and ManU aren't known for January deals, although they did get Larrson a while back to great success. If we sign him, we'd probably to play him to sell some shirts in the far East and for me even if he wasn't injured he doesn't put the work in needed in the way we play. He does however remain one of the best finishers in the game and would be quite a coup.
Finnegan Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 If we didn't have to pay 100% of his wages and it was purely to keep him (or try to keep him) fit then I'd not have a problem at all with it, obvious quality. Wouldn't want us to pin our hopes on someone so ridiculously injury prone, though. Real shame, really, Liverpool completely ruined his body. Shame (well, unless you hate England ) he didn't go to the continent earlier, really.
Tuna Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Owen is past it, his legs are gone I'm happier with The Yak.
okie fox Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Just think this would be a risky deal. When was the last time that Michael Owen played a decent game?
theunknownlcfc Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 instead of trying to bring owen in, why don't he use waghorn hes stronger, quicker and already with us!
Criggers Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Nobody can argue with the quote of "His legs are gone" in this topic...
fox24 Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 well i hate to say this but michael owen was seen last week down the walkers according to rumours,im not saying this is definately true but from what im told it is more than likely, i hope it is true and if it is it would be awesome, plus ian stringer has reported that tunchev has resumed full training this week but would like to point out that tunchev has actually been full training now for a few weeks and this is coming from a very reliable source as tunchev has also been bk to bulgaria etc for family reasons hope this helps

Brainy Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Just think this would be a risky deal. When was the last time that Michael Owen played a decent game? scored a hat trick against someone not long ago
tylesta Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 micheal owen!!!! why would people say no to this signing he would score for fun,
Simmo86 Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 micheal owen!!!! why would people say no to this signing he would score for fun, Only if he had a decent run of games
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 He only plays about 6 games a season waste of time and money.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 well i hate to say this but michael owen was seen last week down the walkers according to rumours,im not saying this is definately true but from what im told it is more than likely, i hope it is true and if it is it would be awesome, plus ian stringer has reported that tunchev has resumed full training this week but would like to point out that tunchev has actually been full training now for a few weeks and this is coming from a very reliable source as tunchev has also been bk to bulgaria etc for family reasons hope this helps Do you reckon Owen's considering the possiblity of featuring in future Walkers Crisps adds as a perk of joining Leicester - formally take over the mantel Mr Lineker has for himself as Leicesters Crisp boy?
cambridgefox Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Dont think it would happen, think he is more interested in his racehorses these days. If he was one of his horses he would have been sent to the glue factory years ago with all his injuries. We can but dream, but thats all it is, a dream.
okie fox Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 scored a hat trick against someone not long ago That was over a year ago, before surgery on his hamstring. Since the surgery, he hasn't played much and only scored once in the league, and twice (against S****horpe) in the Carling cup.
Babylon Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 twice (against S****horpe) in the Carling cup. So he can score against championship clubs, great get him in.
Houdini Logic Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Owen is past it, his legs are gone I'm happier with The Yak. I love it how as soon as anyone hits 30 they're past it or their legs have gone I'd imagine you'd also turn down Drogba, being that he is older than Owen?
