I am unable to reveal my sauce and I acknowledge the likely hood of this happening is somewhere between 'nil' and 'not happening.'

I thought I'd get my credentials out of the way with first.

Despite all we have read and all the water under the bridge with this one I am told that Sven is attempting to 'court' (there's a joke in there somewhere) Fergie, regarding Owen to come on loan until May.

We know that Owen doesn't want to drop down a division lalala, however apparently Sven is still trying to make this happen.

Crazy talk - I know but the man won't lie down. (There's a joke in there too.)

Thank-you for reading my unsubstantiated nonsense but it's what I'm told.

Tomato or brown?

I'm more into relish but that's not a play on another meaning relating to evidential reference.

Top of my relish list is Reggae Reggae Relish from Mr. L Roots and Bick's sweetcorn Relish.

Any further 'sauce' questions please give me a call on 0898 50 50 50.

Heard about this a few months back. Be great if it happens.

I saw your name, clicked this, was hoping for actual news! Oh well, we'll just sit back and wait.

Ha. This is nicks news, not mine. Just adding fuel to the fire. I can't be bothered to dig the post up but he's been on sven's radar for a while.

If I was Owen I'd move. Not saying I'd go to Leicester but I'd definitley move. With Berbs Rooney and the rise of Hernandez he doesn't really look like getting a look in. Anybody know how many more games if any he needs to get a Premier League winners medal at the end of the season? Might sound a bit pathetic but I reckon that could be pivotal.

I also don't think Fergie will let him leave right now. They have loaned out Welbeck and also Macheda recently, so they don't have as much back-up as you'd think and they are fighting for 3 trophies.

It might be more persuasive to state that you'll run naked through Melbourne UNLESS Michael Owen signs for us?

This is a good idea.

I WANT HIS AGENT ON THE PHONE, NOW.

I am definately about the get shot down in flames............however........

I wouldn't be a fan of this signing. I have no doubt he would be a fantastic addition to the squad, he is one of the best finishers of his generation, and in a strike force that were able to build a partnership of Yakubu, Vassell and Owen, well, they would be a threat in any division in the UK.

But, and the key here, is that Owen is not physically capable of making a string of appearances, his body, for whatever reason, doesnt seem capable of withstanding the rigours of the modern game. Now, we ALL know, that Owen takes a few games to find his stride, to get that match sharpness back, and I honestly dont see him being able to get a run of games (due to fitness not from not being selected) under his belt in order to hit his stride.

Exceptional player in his pomp, a real "go-to" striker. But and i say this with a heavy heart, I think he would be too injury prone to add any real value to the squad VERSUS the cost of bringing him here (Loan fee and wages, even if it is "pay as you play")

Greg2607 i totally agree with your comments above sadly as just the thought of Owen playing for Leicester would be sexy
