Fosse Boy Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Quite interesting. Well, I find it quite interesting anyway. Would love to see one for the East Mids.
Wymsey Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Would've thought that more people from there would support AFC Wimbledon really.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 I stayed there for a few days and would of thought that alot of them supported Tottenham, i know Highbury is just up the road but every pub i walked in to had Tottenham Memrobillia
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Yeah East Mids would be interesting. Seem to be a lot of other fans around our borders. Only Forest are bigger than us though.

Where abouts in Islington were you?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 I live there and would disagree with that! Where abouts in Islington were you? Pentoville road or Kings cross road wasn't there that long but saw heaps of Tottenham and frequented a sports bar that was very Tottenham oringtated.
Bugg Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Would've thought that more people from there would support AFC Wimbledon really. Really? Wimbledon weren't a well supported club in their heyday so why would AFC Wimbledon, a blue square team have more supporters than on the map?
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Wash your mouth out. We're easily the biggest club in the region within my own lifetime. Haha yeah agreed. But my honest opinion (Cov & Derby some way behind). We've definitly got the best support though.

Pah, that's not proper Islington Admittedly I live pretty much where that red Arsenal dot is
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Pah, that's not proper Islington Admittedly I live pretty much where that red Arsenal dot is I don't know i was a tourist more intrested in finding a decent pub with reasonably priced drinks
accessory Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Bear in mind that a lot of this research was done decades ago, so may not be entirely accurate now.
Edmund Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Pretty sure Warford's not part of Greater London And Leyton Orient blatantly don't have more fans than QPR
Finnegan Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 I can only really comment on North London as it's what I know but I'd have made almost all of Arsenal and Tottenham territory a mix of blue and red. There are very few typical strongholds for both teams, that's pretty much why the rivalry is so good. I lived in what's "Hr" on that map and there was probably a marginal Arsenal majority in the pubs. It was certainly a pretty much even split. I'm sure if you're in the very hearts of Islington and Tottenham then there'll seem to be a vast leaning one way or t'other but you don't have to go much further out to find neutrality.
purpleronnie Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Would've thought that more people from there would support AFC Wimbledon really. Not many supported wimbledon when they were in the premier league.
Fosse Boy Posted 28 January 2011 Author Posted 28 January 2011 Surprising that Fulham's area's solid black. Thought it was largely mixed with Chelsea - lot of families with split loyalties etc.
James. Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Hackney should probably be more mixed than just Spurs with a bit of Arsenal. I've never noticed any significant allegiance while I've lived there. Would expect to see more of a West Ham / Leyton Orient influence in particular.
AoWW Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 I like the 2 little solitary blobs of pink and blue in the middle of the 'BA' area. Also I think I must be colour blind - or my laptop screen is shite - because it seems really hard to tell some of those colours apart - especially where they've been striped.

Stadt Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 When i saw this i thought it was some fooked up periodic table.
The Doctor Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 When i saw this i thought it was some fooked up periodic table. Missing a shed load of elements though.
Starkwell Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 I stayed there for a few days and would of thought that alot of them supported Tottenham, i know Highbury is just up the road but every pub i walked in to had Tottenham Memrobillia Islington on that map represents the 'borough' of Islington rather than just 'Highbury & Islington', so it actually reaches down almost to the city of London (which if memory serves, is actually very West Ham focused) @Sosban - 'Hr' would be Harringey, which is almost pure spurs from Green Lanes up to Palmers Green, i'd say that one is pretty much spot on.
