Captain... Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Simplest way is just to stop drinking for a month, lets your liver recover and you lose weight without having to do anything. This does depend on how much you normally drink, but whenever I feel a bit unhealthy and overweight it normally sorts me out quite quickly. All alcoholic drinks are very high in calories they also make you sluggish and despite the high calories you don't feel like doing exercise after drinking so it is all turned into fat. For improved results combine with eating more sensibly, you will find that not drinking means you don't have kebabs before bed and binge on sweet/fatty food when you have a hangover. Doing more exercise, cardio is good for burning fat, but building muscle mass will mean that you will naturally burn off more calories during rest than if you have no muscles. It is easier said than done though. Another alternative is smoking, that's a real appetite killer, although it may have long term health issues.
Raj Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Its not rocket. eat less and exercise more. Job done fatty.
Fosse Boy Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Its not rocket. eat less and exercise more. Job done fatty. Thank you. It really is that simple. Nutritional science is bollocks designed to scare morons into joining gyms. Losing weight is a piece of piss.
Simmo86 Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Ive put on quite alot of weight recently, never used to be a problem because of the crohns. Got quite a nice belly and a bit of man boobage aswell, quite taken by them if i'm being honest!
Zingari Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Buy lots of workout dvds featuring Beverley Callard , Davina Mcall , Clare Nasir , Nadia Sawallah , Charlie Brookes etc They probably won't help you lose any weight , but they might help to take your mind of it and you'll have less money to spend on cakes and ale
FoxyPV Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Every time you feel hungry, take some speed and watch the weight fall off.
Unabomber Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Having lost 7 stone since June I can safely say that all these "diets" are just fads. Literally all you need to do is eat fewer calories than you burn in a day. I personally ate high protein, moderate carb and med to low fat, at around 1600 - 1900 calories.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 WTFBBQ does have a point. If you don't want to put the weight on, just don't eat so much. I used to be a right fat bugger (17.5 stone max), those that've met me in real life will know I'm a right skinny boy now, though, about ten and a half stone, if that. Shed the weight over under a year or so, and it really is just down to not eating Ginsters for breakfast, lunch and dinner and brushing your teeth with Dr.Pepper. You don't need a specific plan at all.

I hit the 17st 10 mark a month ago, although 6ft 4,still think im fat, although others do not, waiting for a knee replacement so excercise is a problem. All i have done in 3 weeks is a 20 min walk per day,at a pace, cut out crap,eg less butter on bread,no extra crisps, choc etc and weighed myself yesterday 17st . The problem i find is being bored on the road so i ate,if you dont eat as much straight away you feel so hungry and it makes it a painful experience, eat little and often.
