Would also rather have Abe in rather than Oakley, and Dyer on for Vassell. Didn't Weale have a very bad match against Derby last time round? Maybe Sven thinks it might affect him this time. Let's see what happens with Oakley. He has played quite well as substitute and maybe Sven thinks it is better to use him away from home. Let's see if he can sustain it for 90 minutes.

ousefox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Sven obviously doesn't rate Weale so i guess we'll just have to wait and see how good Ricardo is because i can't see Weale getting back in now unless Ricardo is terrible. Think Oakley deserves a chance over Abe who has looked a bit off the pace recently, although i can't see Oakley lasting the 90. A very strong looking bench though and really looking forward to watching the game

Weale, on the other hand, shouldn't have been dropped IMO, and any slight mistakes from Ricardo today and we're in the shit, as this'll ruin Weale's confidence.

martyn Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Slightly disappointed in Sven, very very harsh to drop Weale if it's for footballing reasons. It's not exactly consistent across the board considering Vassell still plays instead of Dyer. Oakley for Abe is expected considering the comments from Sven in midweek, but lets see if captain fantastic plays with the same amount of energy for 90 as he does in 20 minute cameos. I hope my scepticism is proven wrong.

Ric Flair Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 I think Oakley will do alright if we play decently, if it's a backs against the wall job then it could be painful.But he deserves his chance and Abe could dom with a rest. Vassell needs to up his game, hopefully a goal will help. He needs one.
