Parking at the Walkers stadium?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I am coming up to the walkers stadium for the first time and was wondering of the parking that is availiable....i've looked at a few websites and all the information seems pretty awful.

On a different note, it seems sven has turned around your season and looks like you'll be a threat to take our place in the top 6, with the signing of yakubu you really are banging in the goals.....

so whats the parking oportunities? and what you lot rekon for our and your chances this season?

Cheers,

i think you need a certain pass / badge to park at the acctual ground but theres an industrial estate a 5-10 min walk from the ground with loads of spaces to park, costs a couple of quid but money goes to charity.

Norwich are doing something similar to what we did last season, built on winning leauge 1 playing with confidence. i think youll make the play offs

You can park at the rugby ground but that tends to be a bit pricey. There is parking down Narborough Road and thats about 10 -15 mins walk to the ground

If you walk in the opposite direction from the hotel there is a car park a two minute walk from the Stadium on your right. It is £5 to park there and shuts an hour after the final whistle.

I think Leicester will finish higher than Norwich this season, due to our consistency in winning lately and with all the signings (loan and permanent) Sven has made, it's doing wonders for us. Norwich are doing what we did last year, building on the confidence from winning League 1 so playoff positions for both.

I always park in Western Rd, LE30. Its a convenient 10 mins walk the other side of the canal from the ground. Norwich have done well this term, as we did last, hitting the ground running. But I think we have more quality & pace within the side now that most teams will struggle to handle. If, and it's a big IF, we were to play to our full potential for every game I think we could go unbeaten. Very unlikely tho in reality, but we are now at times very very good.

The rugby ground has 2 car parks, one is expensive, the other costs £3,pay as you enter, its just basic hardcore/stones.Plenty of visiting fans use it.5 mins from the ground, pubs nearby too !!

Yes im worried we'll just fizzle out and maybe clinch playoffs, but saying this we seem to just keep plodding on and getting results, last two home games we have won it in the 94th minute which shows such good team spirit, will be interesting against you, who also attack. away from home is where we are playing our best this season, 0-0 to qpr and missed a penalty and shoulve won, same against forrest shouldve won. But we need to score more. Looking forward to it.

To be honest Canary Joe, If I were you, I'd stay in Norwich or wherever you live because the drubbing you'll get from us will really ruin your evening :)

Mate dont pay to park, you can park easily if your early on Bruce street just off Narborough road and if you want a friendly boozer for away fans the Western is on way to ground and has decent beer.

sure the permit parking restrictions end at 6pm midweek so can park in any of the streets round narb road..

be pleny of spaces as people have got used to not parking there now..

Ha, will try not too. That is worse case scenario though if i can't manage to get a lift or train it :/ Should be a good match.

The permit scheme on Brazil street is 24 hour, and the traffic wardens visit at least twice during rugby and football games. I would assume the Narborough road area would be the same, not 100% though.

We always park in a little car park on Havelock Street, right by the Royal Infirmary, costs £5 and it's only a short walk to the stadium

Make sure you DO NOT park on Walnut Street (I think that is what it is called road comes down from the rugby ground) the area is a controlled zone on match days and cars are always ticketed without fail.

You need to be careful about this in streets around the area of the ground as there are signs on the roads as you enter the area indicating you are entering a controlled zone but it isn't always clear to visitors at the actual place you might park.
