hackneyfox Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 It is indeed. I'm fooking glad you locked that thread, I felt a if I was turning into one of the reactionaries. I thought I may have to use the old 'I'm bored now' line and flounce off. Quoting is a great feature for twats like me...
shen Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 hackneyfox are you intentionally trying to put people off using Foxestalk with your efforts today? Bizarre posting. Bad day for the forum. I actually think he is. Which isn't a bad thing if you think about it. Think he highlights some stupid comments made on here and the biting is quite entertaining! Though I guess talking about 'taking things too seriously' is a bit hypocritical.
hackneyfox Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Though I guess talking about 'taking things too seriously' is a bit hypocritical. Perhaps so
cairnsy Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 I found that amusing. Clearly you don't know much about football
Zingari Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 i hope the quirky British sense of humour translates into Swedish
MrSpaM Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 I thought I may have to use the old 'I'm bored now' line and flounce off. Yeh, it's almost as bad as coming on here and creating pointless negative threads looking for a reaction off people isnt it... You might want to have a quick look at this if you don't see why people might be a bit annoyed with it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29
shen Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Yeh, it's almost as bad as coming on here and creating pointless negative threads looking for a reaction off people isnt it... But it wasn't pointless. It exposed some posters and made a point about being critical for the sake of being critical. And it was entertaining for a while to boost. Besides, I can't have been the only one who sniggered at your post, with regards to your username
ibbosuk Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Well your right...Carn't see any of this current lot "Dying for the cause". Now were just a jumble of highly paid ***** ................This season is going tits up.............I mean..
The Doctor Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 i hope the quirky British sense of humour translates into Swedish well svens spent at least 8 of the last 10 years in england so i'd hope he's got at least a vague understanding of british humour by now.
Heskey2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Oooh get you!!!!! You posted this: Posted Today, 11:45 AM Original posters probably one of these people that listened to the Cardiff match on 5 live and heard Claridge's complete demolition of Sven at the end of it for no good reason. Claridge - "I'm still not convinced by Sven at all" We've just won 6 and drawn 1 out of our last 8 matches, how much more convincing does he need? You made a twat of yourself. Agree don't know what Claridge was on about, the teamspirit Sven has developed in the side is exceptional, to pick us up after loosing NP and the crap start we made to the season was a massive ask and well the results speak for themselves. regarding the Topic - personally i think Hobbs is one of the best CB at the club, and he should have more chances to show his worth, same with Morrison and berner (a bit) and in that respect yeah the team has been torn up, but imo the football we have been playing since Svens arrival has been exciting, clinical, dynamic and entertaining, i i'm fully in the Sven camp and as long as he stays loyal (at city) then i'm with him. In Sven we trust :sge: good point made about our ex-players
FanofFilbert Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Have not been on this forum long but it seems obvious there are some seriously sad bastards on here. these joke threads and then having a pop at anyone who falls for it would suggest some sort of social defect. Much like the same sort of people who bring up spelling mistakes double posts and such, you are sad sad sad ****s. The forum should be about positivity towards fellow fans and decent discussion on the team not some sad twat wanking off to there amazing "flame" response to some poor sod who has an opinion. I wont post another post like this again as i dont want to fall into the trap of being one of these afore mentioned moaning sad bastards.
foxaholic Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 The best since Martin O'Neill? Oh that explains how we just about finished fifth. We've never been higher than that since O'Neill left. Rubbish we were 2nd under Micky Adams only lost 5 all season and the highest average gate for 50 years people seem to act as if Adamsnever cameto the club ... wait a minute....
Bettsj2 Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 ...got in common? they amongst others, Dyer, King, Oakley, Howard, and some notable loanees were responsible for restoring pride to this club. They fought for this club our club to bring the club from it's lowest point in its entire history to return some pride to the club that had for the previous 4 seasons really turned me away from football. Add to that Wellens, Weale, Waghorn and Gallagher and you have the team that restored respectability to this club, if we hadn't escaped from League one at the first attempt, if we hadn't reached the playoffs last year, we wouldn't be where we are now, we wouldn't have rich Thai owners and Sven, we wouldn't have a team capable of competing with the best in this league. So for those that don't get it, that is why we love these players, that is why we support these players and that is why we get pissed off when these players are replaced unnecessarily. Sven came in took one look around and set about dismantling that team, understandably in some respects, we were playing poorly and had overachieved the season before, our limitations had been exposed by Sousa trying to get these players to pay in a way they couldn't. Short of confidence and fitness they were easy targets. Nobody believes these players were the best in the world, and nobody believed that we couldn't find better, but the way Sven systematically took apart that team was brutal. I'm fully aware the Max was sold by Pearson but the feeling is the same, we loved him, he was shipped out by the manager, did anyone else notice that he didn't celebrate when he scored against us even though some people were booing him during the match. What pisses me off is the way that a number of fans on here have dismissed these players, have conveniently forgotten what these players did for us, Sven doesn't remember, because he wasn't here, but we were. So when I see other fans taking the piss out of someone who is trying to defend Jack Hobbs, or Berner it saddens me, they got this club back on it's feet and will always get my full backing and support, the way they have been dropped and excluded at every possible opportunity is sad, whilst we have had Cunningham or PVA, Berner has played 0 minutes of football, likewise Hobbs whenever we had any 2 other fit centrebacks. Then there was the Fryatt incident, top scorer last season, worth about 4 million last season. We sell him for 1.5 and all the fans can do is pick on his negatives, top scorer for last 2 seasons, still a good championship striker, just look at his record for Hull not given a chance under Sven. This is what still gets me, if you become the manager of a squad you should be looking at how to get the best out of last season's top scorer and best player, not get rid of them. Finally dropping Weale because he was playing well, my views on this nonsense are elsewhere. Yes Sven has his favourites, yes so do the fans , sometimes they are not the same players, that is normal, it happened with NP and Max and countless others before. The team that Sven took apart wasn't just any old Leicester team, it was the best one we had had since MON and it hurt to see it ripped apart, I can see the benefits that Sven has brought in, better quality throughout the pitch, and a much prettier passing style, arguably he has done it at the cost of team spirit. That is not the point though, the point is that as fans we should not be ridiculed for still liking these players, for being grateful for what they did and for questioning why they are no longer wearing the royal blue of Leicester, when they performed so heroically in it before. One of the worst most ill thought out threads i've ever read on here. It really is quite unbelievable. Hobbs didnt have a chance under Sven? Fryatt didnt have a chance under Sven? Where you at Swansea away? Because I ****ing was and it was a disgraceful performance by players being given a chance to impress a new boss. What was the rhetoric over the Curtis Davis saga? 'If he dont wanna be ere ven dont sign im' Didn't Fryatt ask to leave even though Sven said he was happy for him to stay and fight for his place? Not sure what the purpose of this thread is? Who are you mad at? Sven? Mandric? Top? Sousa? Basically anyone other than your favourite players who played badly from day 1 at Crystal Palace. Those that have played well have stayed in the team (with the exception of Weale which I agree is puzzling). There is no doubt whatsoever that the team we have now are infinately better than the one we saw last season. Yes there are several loan signings, but even the staunchest critic knows deep down that this team has been put together with one aim and that is promotion. Should this be acheived, these same critics know that the majority of the loan signings will be made permanant. I understand people respecting the past but thats exactly what it is, the past. Why should Sven have played players like Fryatt who were performing badly just because 12 months earlier they were playing well? He's been brought in to take us up and quick. So in this situation there is no time to dwell on the past and he's got no business to anyway.
Guest ttfn Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Nice sentiment from the OP. Our club was a total joke, and those players restored some pride. But they're gone now, forget about it.
Guest ttfn Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 If people can put up with: Weale good Ricardo bad Hobbs good Mee bad Fryatt good Yakubu bad Dyer good Vasseel bad X may sign if he does I will jiz my pants on a daily basis then I don't see why anything today should have put them off. And it entertained half of those on there. Too many people take themselves and their opinions way too seriously. If you don't like it, **** off, nobody's making you read/post. Top quality trolling today though.

Wymsey Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Is it me or have quite a few members moaned about this forum recently? (in terms of other members) Wasting their time saying it really.

You might want to have a quick look at this if you don't see why people might be a bit annoyed with it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29 I honestly thought that given my oft given thoughts on Weale?Fryatt/DJ/Morison/Hobbs and Dyer that everyone would see it for what it was meant to be. A gentle piss take of the more reactionary people on here. Never expected to run as it did but when some people answer as they did then I wasn't going to give up a few hours entertainment. I got more ridiculous with each post, half the posters were pointing out what was happening and all the way until it was locked people just waded in. I should probably be sorry for having upset a few of the more sensitive souls but I had a larf and so did a few others.
hackneyfox Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 If you don't like it, **** off, nobody's making you read/post. Top quality trolling today though. Err likewise with those that reacted. Thanks
hackneyfox Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Is it me or have quite a few members moaned about this forum recently? (in terms of other members) Wasting their time saying it really. If nobody gets upset then you may as well close down the site, it's all about opinions, nobody agrees with each other totally, just look at the players scores that are handed out. I get the idea that there is a generation (or 2) gap sometimes. You only have to look at the positivity (most of the time) on here and the cynicism on Bentleys, though that is now very positive about the future. I haven't felt a link with the players in years, I like/dislike them because of how they play for my team. I had About 20 years of shit, then the excellent few years in the nineties followed by years of despair. I appreciate what NFP and the players did over 2 seasons but I'm thoroughly enjoying the football that Sven and his team are now serving up. At least the bad football/games are now a blip rather then the norm. We play proper football now, we have a team that wouldn't get destroyed week in week out in The Premier, with a bit of tinkering, and hopefully a lot. Sorry but I want to be entertained now and I want instant success and if that means saying goodbye to a favourite of 2 years then so be it. I like Bamba, but if he goes it's because we've improved and are replacing him or he's gone to a better team, both good signs. Too many of our hyped players have ended up playing lower division football. These are great times to be a Leicester fan and I'm not going to moan about what Sven,Faz and the Thais are serving up. Just my opinion of course

What's the point in being such an arse when you can write something that's as positive as that?!
