Which doesn't surprise me the least bit, do we think they'll bring a good crowd or a minibus like the Bristolians? To be fair, I thought Bristol City were well supported last Friday. Think about it, Bristol City are near the bottom of the league, poor run of results etc and coming to play at Leicester on a friday night is a big ask. On a Saturday, Bristol City are generally a well supported side but on a Friday night when the side are are near the bottom of the league, whats the motivation or whatever? The ones that travelled were real die hards. Anyway, I can see Coventry bringing a fair amount. Why not? Saturday 3:00pm, local derby, down the road. Can't see why they wouldn't. Guys, Cov fan here...shall only make this one post then dissapear.....if you are all really not bothered about us why start a thread up? Hardly anybody is coming because no-one cares about the leicester game, our derby games that MATTER to us are Birmingham ( took 6500 there last month and could have been more) and Villa...its just unfortunate that we are no where near good enough to get to play in these derby games anymore! Please get over yourselves thinking that you are important to us YOUR NOT!! As for "cambridgefox" mate you live in Ely home to gypsies, tramps and thieves your about as posh as peterborough! Good luck at the weekend lets hope your BIG day doesnt get ruined, would hate it if you all got suicidal xx To be fair, I know Birmingham and Aston Villa are close to Coventry and probably are your fierciest rivals but I thought Coventry fans considered this as a local derby, considering you haven't played Aston Villa in the league for ages now. I don't live in Leicestershire so I cannot comment on the level of rivalry, but I always saw our game against Coventry as "the" local derby because of the Nottingham Forest v Derby fierce rivalry. My friend's friend supports Coventry and hates Leicester as much as Birmingham and Aston Villa.
ccfcwal Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 yes im a cov fan n no im not here to abuse you (maybe will after a decent result tomorrow haha) to be honest many city fans very very fedup of the utter bullshit we get week in week out from the board this is why attendances have dropped so muh, even our away following which you used to be one of the best in the league id say. lies after lies me people jsut falling out of love with the club, i personally feel the squad on paper when fit is one of the strongest in the league yet for some reason we havent played this strongest team of ours yet, aidy definitely has his favorites. one bright spark has been marlon king...absolute class, i expect he'll get shed loads of abuse tomorrow but i think you guys will be suprised how hard he works just as most cov fans were. I am looking forward to seeing the yak in action hows he been? predictions for tomorrow?

Just to clear things up a little, it's the little chavvy 14 - 17 year olds that 'HATE' you, not us older lot, we're not fussed. We just see it as a local game and enjoy a bit of banter, even though they couldn't care less about us, Villa and Birmingham, in our eyes will always be our rivals. As for our away following, 2,500 ish I'd expect, most will pay on the gate. As for the game, you will hammer us, we're so poor at the moment it's untrue.

We're getting slagged on GMK for only taking 3k to Derby and apparantly its a bigger derby for us because we always take a bigger following to the Ricoh than they bring to us! Nowt to do with having a bigger fanbase!
