The Doctor Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 didn't see it all that well at the time but ricardo could have done better for the goal, still why king had been allowed to get the space like that is beyond me.

ScouseFox Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 PVA dived in showed massive lack of experience, which gave the winger the time, if he jockeys him he stops the cross, and the goal. Naughton's goal was lovely.
Bugg Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 That Crainey should have gone earlier with that challenge on our player (can't remember who it was), but it just seemed a very reckless challenge.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 That Crainey should have gone earlier with that challenge on our player (can't remember who it was), but it just seemed a very reckless challenge. i thought they were a dirty side generally, although fair play (no pun intended) to them as they realised they could disrupt our usual slick passing with their over-exuberance (if thats how its spelt )
Kent Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Bruma very nearly intercepted the ball for their goal, oh well. Can't make my mind up whether Ricardo could do much about it or not.
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Posted Today, 12:51 PM this is going 2ways, dead boring 1-1 draw or city will put them to shame 4-0 never put my bet on
topharry123 Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 First time i've seen it, and I would have expected Ricardo to save that. Didn't look like it had any real power, and was close to straight at him. I'm not making him the scapegoat for the draw today, but had he have saved that like he should have done, would we have gone onto win it? Quite possibly.
filbertway Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 If Ricardo saves that, people are saying that's a world class save. Saving a shot from that close that is around your feet is hard. His foot was planted, didn't have time to react and stop the ball from going in So many missed chances yesterday, Yakubu's finshing was dissapointing, nice goal by Naughton though.
ithuriel Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 i blame bruma more for the goal, king dominated him in the first half and i thought he looked quite poor. the second half bamba marked king and bruma played a much better game. i did not hear anything mentioned but was mee injured to make way for bruma ?

Mee was on the bench and warmed up freely at half time, so one can only assume it was tactical.
sdb Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 I'm not a Ricardo hater and I certainly wouldn't chant for Weale (pathetic) but that is a very saveable shot. One I'd expect a Championship keeper to make any day of the week.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 I love the way that the Football League Show made it look like the first half was all Coventy!
ashfosse Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 I love the way that the Football League Show made it look like the first half was all Coventy! im surprised they showed any of the game at all!! they are useless
wakeyfox01 Posted 28 February 2011 Posted 28 February 2011 I saw it from behind the goal and he couldn't close his legs quite quick enough and it hit his left leg, which is why it goes off at an angle. Not easy to tell what happens from that angle as the ball disappears behind him. If it was from a bit further out he saves that all day long.
Mack Posted 28 February 2011 Posted 28 February 2011 I was also behind it and it went through his legs, he then realized he had ballsed up again letting in a weak shot and collapsed in a heap of frustration punching the ground in annoyance at himself. I'd be delighted if he was the best thing since sliced bread and was keeping Weale out on merit but I fear there is a reason he has spent the last two years shaping the Betis bench to the cheeks of his arse.

King barely connects with the shot and it goes straight at Ricardo. you could have put a sack of spuds in the middle of the goal and it would have at least bounced forward rather than gone in. As weak as the defence were in the build up, at this level you don't let in shots like that one. If any other keeper, Weale, especially Logan, had made such a mess of a tame shot like that they would have been destroyed on here by most city fans.
