cambridgefox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Toughie,if we all knew we would lose i think the atmosphere would be rubbish, its the anticipation and unknown that makes football so good. Oh Ibbosuk,i wont be needing you to babysit for me,im frightened and the kids are under the table crying about the weird man on the computer!
dannythefox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Just cause you wouldn't doesn't mean to say anyone who has put yes in the poll is talking bollocks. Personally, I would go as said by someone on here, it's more to do with the social aspect rather than the game itself You'll be in the 4000-5000 then!
The Doctor Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I'd go to watch City whatever the outcome to lend my support. I love the club. I love Leicester City. Simple as that. i rarely simplely post "This" but... This.
Corky Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Even though you lose, you might still see something memorable in the game that you will remember for a long time.
Walkers Wench Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I would yes. Of course we all want to win, but theres so much more to football than the final score. I hate not going to games,,and when the season is over i feel bereft for several weeks!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 If i knew the result of a match before a ball had even been kicked and i had not even left my hose, then no, Idon't want to know what you get up to with your hose f Seeing as most of our best trips this season have seen defeats looking at Pompey, Ipswich, QPR, Palace here it is for me not that important. I go for the craic with the lads many beverages, the atmosphere, the buzz and just in general the whole weekend away or day out. This and the fact every one loves a good underdog story hoping or a slight miracle.
Thracian Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 I'd see no point in watching any game if I knew outcome in advance. But I'm influenced by how I believe we'll play. If we have negative people in charge and/or I believe we we just set out on a defensive or damage limitation exercise then I can't raise any enthusiasm. That's not to say I believe in reckless abandon or that I cannot enjoy a battle between two combative teams (I thoroughly enjoyed the contest at QPR for example) but the sort of shit we came out with in the second half at Derby, Cardiff and Norwich just makes my so livid. There's no excuse for it and no way I will never defend it.
Stadt Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 The reason i would always go is because we could play the best football we've played all season, score 5 goals but could still lose.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 March 2011 Author Posted 10 March 2011 Find it hard to say. I go for the excitement, the atmosphere, the hope that we play well. There wouldn't be any of this but it wouldn't be the fact that I knew we were going to lose that stops me going, it would be that theres no chance of getting anything from it and no excitement. I didn't say it couldn't be a 13-12 loss with them scoring in the dying seconds of the game.
Haydos Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 I didn't say it couldn't be a 13-12 loss with them scoring in the dying seconds of the game. If I knew were gonna lose by one goal in the dying moments I still don't think i'd be excited. It's a toughy, I enjoy not knowing what could happen I suppose.
crisp monster Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 If I knew they were going to lose I'd prob still go just for the occasion and to get away from the house for a few hours. It's got to still be better than getting dragged round garden centres etc on a Saturday afternoon. But I would go to the bank and then to the bookies on the way and lump on it!! Are we allowed to know the other teams 1st goalscorer as well?

OzFox Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 And I'm not talking if we were playing Barcalona, Man Utd, AC Milan or the like. Football being football, there would still be an outside chance. I'm talking about a properly destined, carved in stone, never to be changed, irrefuteable zero chance of winning or even a draw. Ok, so it's entirely hypothetical, cos it's never going to happen, but it made me think when people were leaving with 10 minutes left. Yes we were never going to win from that point, but is that the only reason these people go, to see us win? I thought it was to support your team? Yes we're abyssmal last night, but most of our support was just as bad. Your poll would be more interesting if it was "If City Were Playing a Match They Were Destined To Win, Would You Still Go?" I've got a feeling half of our lot would stay at home as they'd have nothing to bitch and moan about
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Retarded question IMO. You always cling onto that little bit of hope, but if you were to know then never. Much rather save the money.
