Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 And I'm not talking if we were playing Barcalona, Man Utd, AC Milan or the like. Football being football, there would still be an outside chance. I'm talking about a properly destined, carved in stone, never to be changed, irrefuteable zero chance of winning or even a draw. Ok, so it's entirely hypothetical, cos it's never going to happen, but it made me think when people were leaving with 10 minutes left. Yes we were never going to win from that point, but is that the only reason these people go, to see us win? I thought it was to support your team? Yes we're abyssmal last night, but most of our support was just as bad.
StanSP Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I'd go to watch City whatever the outcome to lend my support. I love the club. I love Leicester City. Simple as that.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I would. Going to the football for me is more a social occasion than anything else, always has been. I sometimes like to look towards the grassy bit and see the blokes in the bright colours chasing the ball around, it definitely adds something to the occasion. I'm not sure what though
Simmo86 Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I left after 75mins last night first time i've ever done it. I was so pissed off it was untrue!
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Defo. Winning isnt everything .. its the taking part *cough*
smallpauldj Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 i was there til the final whistle didnt boo like some and didnt chant weale like most the ground as my uncle said its not ricardos fault sven picks him
Simmo86 Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Also depends if they were going to show some fight aswell unlike last night!
acooling08 Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 So if we were certain to lose, you'd spend £35 (Ticket, parking, petrol) and waste 3 hours+ of Saturday time to go out in the freezing cold and watch us lose? Madness.
Maybes Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Only go for a beer up and for a sing-song. If we win its a bonus, if we lose I'll have still had a good day out.

Tommeh Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Seeing as most of our best trips this season have seen defeats looking at Pompey, Ipswich, QPR, Palace here it is for me not that important. I go for the craic with the lads many beverages, the atmosphere, the buzz and just in general the whole weekend away or day out.
Haydos Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Find it hard to say. I go for the excitement, the atmosphere, the hope that we play well. There wouldn't be any of this but it wouldn't be the fact that I knew we were going to lose that stops me going, it would be that theres no chance of getting anything from it and no excitement.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 There have been a few games I have been when I knew we would lose. Posh away 2009 was the worst one, by far.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I'd go to watch City whatever the outcome to lend my support. I love the club. I love Leicester City. Simple as that. spot on StanSP i totally agree. I love Leicester City, players come and go (some we get to like and some not, managers just the same) but Leicester City i will always love
Tom17LCFC Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 I'd go to watch City whatever the outcome to lend my support. I love the club. I love Leicester City. Simple as that. Nail on the head!! Wherever we end up i'll support us as well. As much as I love winning, I love LCFC even more.
MikeyT Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 If i knew the result of a match before a ball had even been kicked and i had not even left my hose, then no,
dannythefox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Why would anyone go watch a game if they knew they were going to lose 89% of people said yes on the results. Boll**ks! People go to a game because they no anything can happen if everyone knew the outcome was to lose you might get 4000-5000 there if you lucky.

And for my ten penneth, do we know they are going to lose beforehand? Because if so then yes that is a bit of a waste but would gladly accept a free ticket , however if I did not know this "carved in stone" result then I would go regardless.

Just cause you wouldn't doesn't mean to say anyone who has put yes in the poll is talking bollocks. Personally, I would go as said by someone on here, it's more to do with the social aspect rather than the game itself
The Padster Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Just cause you wouldn't doesn't mean to say anyone who has put yes in the poll is talking bollocks. Personally, I would go as said by someone on here, it's more to do with the social aspect rather than the game itself Which is why I have stated I would do it for a free ticket, but to actually pay the £30 + just for the social side of it which to be honest makes up a fair chunk, is madness. You could take that £30 odd and just go out on the town or whatever if you want to be social.
