Houdini Logic Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Ian Holloway saying Carl Cort got off of his death bed to play for us
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 That Sven was moving to Burbage and that someone stated on here that they had actually seen him in Hinckley Where was he, Lidl?? Incidentally, where IS he living? I heard he is living in a penthouse apartment near Anstey I think my mate said?
funkyrobot Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Sven lodges in my spare room. I have to lock him in at night otherwise he'll get his hands on my bird's ha'penny
funkyrobot Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Under pleat, we signed Billy Davies from Scotland (Motherwell I think). The current forest manager lasted about 3 games for us before running back up north citing his wife's homesickness as an excuse. He actually looked quite good when I saw him come on as sub for one of those appearances. Feeble excuse must've been henpecked!!

muzzy1981 Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Have to say the Henry and Beckham links were bizarre!!
wellyfox Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 I got given a Leicester City book once (bygones or fossils or something?) it had a clipping from the paper at the time about Cruyff joining. If I remember rightly he was going to be on silly money per game, would have been awesome if he'd played in England let alone for us! He was going to be a Jock Wallace signing And what about Mancini?
Corky Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Didn't we have the opportunity to buy Eidur Gudjohnsen for about £3 million and instead bought someone (we all know who) for £5 million?
leicesterseddon Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Nigel Pearson leaving us to join Hull City. Spiralled very quickly from taking the piss out of a couple of Hull fans on here to the shock that he was actually upping and leaving. Still we have a better manager in now but I still sometimes wonder where we would be if he was still in charge. Did you listen to any of his interviews after Sousa's sacking? He made it clear he knew the new owners were lining up his replacement (i.e. Sousa) and felt he had no option but to go.

He made it clear he knew the new owners were lining up his replacement (i.e. Sousa) and felt he had no option but to go. But the thread is not about that you numpty. I was just saying it was a ridiculous rumour that turned out to be true. If you had seen the thread on here the first 5 pages were mocking the Sad Hull City fools who came on to the site bragging about Pearson going to them. The next 30 pages were the sad realisation that not only had he gone but more over we as a club did nothing to stop him and further gloating from the Hull fans. We even had fans from other clubs coming on here to state their disbelief that he would have dropped us for Hull. Of course we now know/always suspected that he jumped before he was pushed hence why he joined Hull and not somebody like Newcastle or Villa.

I hope you kept an eye on your bird mate. Did she sneak off to 'buy a coffee'? That was Sven, he only needs 2 minutes.
OmnipresentSam Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Gotta hand it to him, he's a damn smooth operator.
cc_star Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Ian Holloway saying Carl Cort got off of his death bed to play for us any post-match press briefing given by Holloway... ever
