cambridgefox Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 I don't think even the most ardent anti royalist would consider knocking down all the royal palaces and castles even the French weren't that stupid sacrebleu detruire le chateau.non, nous sommes stupides!(thought i would show off)
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 I hope this is some really shite joke that doesn't make sense. Implying someone is a traitor just because they don't like the royal family is fvcking moronic. got people talking if nowt else - you make your own mind up
Jon the Hat Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 I don't think even the most ardent anti royalist would consider knocking down all the royal palaces and castles even the French weren't that stupid But we don't need them and they are no longer fit for their original purpose... Hang on... are you saying it is possible for something to have a new or changing role??
Zingari Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 But we don't need them and they are no longer fit for their original purpose... Hang on... are you saying it is possible for something to have a new or changing role?? I'm quite sure it's possible for most things to have new or changing roles , But first i'd like to know just what is the role of the royal family other than accidently being born into it . Although i'm told Prince Andrew is doing sterling work
The Doctor Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 The "No's" appear to be winning by a mile. that''s because so many people are traitors to their country.
Houdini Logic Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 I think its mostly from foreign tourists than british based ones. went to london about 10 years ago for the first time as an adult. didnt get lost but wanted to clarify on directions... I had to ask 6 people before i found someone who could speak English, A monarchy is something alot of countries dont have. Especially one like ours that seems so detached from the people it almost makes them mysterious. I remember watching the Olympics last time round and a handball game came on. The Denmark team was playing and the camera panned to the crowed and focussed in on the danish queen was whooping and hollering and going crazy over every point scored. Was interviewed after the game ciggerette in hand and everything! Can't quite see our queen doing that.Over here in the states people are talking about the royal wedding everwhere i go,,, went to get my haircut. two FULLY GROWN MEN waiting for their hair to get cut were talking about it. I even got asked in a job interview yesterday ( addmitedly slightly tongue in cheek) what i thought of the royal wedding... all over the place here they are intrested in it. I personally like the idea of having a pretty princess wrather than one that looks like the back end of a bus *cough* camila *cough*. Even in Denmark they were asking about our royal family.. Israel... france asnd Belgium and Canada. Pretty much every country i have been to i have been asked about the royal family. I'd be careful drawing comparisons to Scandanavia, being that they're pretty much ruled by a penguin
Houdini Logic Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 that''s because so many people are traitors to their country. Get your spoon away you dirty jock We all take pride in different things and if a number of people get happiness in this then let them be, as long as they're not using it for elitist/racist means. Personally I took more pride in the amazing turd I laid this morning than the royal family, but as I said, each to their own.
Raj Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 Good luck to them. Hope they have a great life together. Am i interested? NO.

BoneDog Posted 31 March 2011 Posted 31 March 2011 Sounds like all you 'Royal fans' won't be the only ones interested in this big bash. Retired Major says UFO's will be interested in Wedding "There are two reasons behind Filer's prediction: In the last few weeks, he's been getting reports from British Royal Air Force pilots who reported seeing UFOs over the English Channel, and, more importantly, he says the royal family is very interested in the UFO phenomenon."
