Asha Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 I can't really find the words to accurately portray how much of a fuck I don't give about the monarchy.
Zingari Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 i might ask the missus to lay on a spread and a knees up to celebrate
MikeyT Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 14 years she's been gone. It's been difficult, but I've been brave and just about got through it Hang in there. it gets easier.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Hang in there. it gets easier. I just want the hurt to stop. Hang on a sec, it already has. In fact, I think it may have even stopped in the second after I found out the terrible news
hairy Posted 16 March 2011 Author Posted 16 March 2011 Have you got one of these? I am sure we have somewhere in this lot My wife has suggested we order some of these to celebrate the honeymoon night
Trav Le Bleu Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 I work for the Royal Mail. As their representatives it should not be taken out of our entitlement, but count as a bank holiday. Aside from that it falls on what would be my lieu day anyway.
FoxyPV Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 I think it's an abomination that Wills is marrying a "commoner". It taints the majesty of the monarchy and, because of this I will be boycotting the event.
smallpauldj Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 I have to work which i see as a complete waste of time as im a courier and no-one else seems to be working other than 1 other memeber on here so far. As far as im aware we dont even get a day off in leiu or however you spell it. what pisses me off the most. while most of Britain sits at home with the day to do what they want ill be bored shitless!
samjohnson Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Wheres the "Couldnt give 2 flying ****s" option?
Matt Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Well i'm not interested one bit, but I will be celebrating the day off. I don't care one bit but if it gets an extra days holiday i'm all for it. We were all told today that we could work it if we want and be given the same amount of hours holiday to take at a later point but I've already booked the days inbetween Easter and May day off anyway so would be pointless me giving this holiday up.
Walkers Wench Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 It means with the easter hoildays and may day holiday all rolled into one,,and now an extra day added on for the royal wedding (we get an extra day coz its when we would have been on hols anyway)...i now get two and a half weeks for easter!
The Doctor Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 It means with the easter hoildays and may day holiday all rolled into one,,and now an extra day added on for the royal wedding (we get an extra day coz its when we would have been on hols anyway)...i now get two and a half weeks for easter! bloody teachers, you have enough holidays anyway - i know of teachers who want an extra day off on the tuesday after mayday since "The royal wedding holiday falls when we're off anyway so we don't get any benefit from it". Get the **** back to work and stop whinging.
CKB Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Would it be wrong if i toss one off over Kate during the wedding?

The Doctor Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Did you see me whinge? No,,coz i've the tuesday off too... boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Schools should be open then, i don't see why they have to close for mayday anyway, teachers and pupils get enough free time as it is - 9am - 3pm, 5 days of the week, 39 or so weeks of the year - practically a part time job. edit: Right, lets not turn this into an arguement about teachers, back the royal wedding - it's the least news-worthy big story i've seen in recent years. The monarchy is outdated and no longer useful in modern society.

Gosh you're aggressive!! Kids hours are 9-3 not mine,,,,,im in at 7.30/8.00 most mornings and rarely leave before 5.30/6.00 The work and hours i put in at home are ridiculous,,,i don't knock off and do nothing till i go back to work next day like lots are able to. Today alone I've been a nurse (diarrhaoa and puke everywhere),,a therapist (to a mum who literally has no one else),,, been a bereavement counsellor,,,administered insulin to a very poorly girl,,,been involved with social services and oh yes,,,managed to teach. I think I more than earn my money!
Walkers Wench Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 sorry teachers do have too may holidays though, sorry isn't good enough,,,you can make me a sorry card and spend break in my room thinking about your attitude...ha ha i get this all the time,,,,holidays i can't do much about comes with the job,,,but i do go in for a couple of weeks in the summer to get a head start and odd days during other weeks off,,,monday night i got home at 8.00 after meetings,,,and yeah i have two kids myself....anyhow like you said this isn't the thread (tho you started it na na na na na) ! Royal Wedding,,,,no,,not interested much x
ajthefox Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 I don't dislike the Monarchy, we have one and that is something that distinguishes our country from many others but I really couldn't give a flying fvck about the Royal wedding or what any of the Monarchy is up to.For what it's worth as well, the Queen's speech is the most boring 3 minutes of my christmas every year. I understand being interested in the Royals but the way some people go out of their way to see what the Royals are doing, and even worse, people who spend their time reading about "celebrities" and what they get up to baffles me. Life is short and I don't want to spend half of mine wondering what other people are doing with theirs.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Would prefer to watch the hair on my legs grow
ScouseFox Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Not arsed really, know a few people who are massively hyped about it, but just meh as far as I'm concerned. An extra days revision will do me nicely.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 We are part of the commonwealth where is our public holiday??? The royal family can suck a fat one
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Love the royals - anyone who dont like em is entitled to their own opinion and i respect that but i personally love the royal family
