lcfcsnow Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Answer me this. 'What is the point of showing the actual game, on the televisions in the stadium?' I found it off-putting. Replays are good, Showing the whole match isn't. I'd rather we did it like on Saturday against Burnley. Agreed, it was better on Saturday showing the score and the time clearly with replays now and then.
Bluefoxtim Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 You can't blame them for trying out a few things. Its use this season is a 'test' remember.
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Yeah I very much agree with what has been said. The cameras need to be more zoomed in cause the players are like dots, the "sponsoring" is sooo cringeworthy and the quality of the screens and the audio is pretty bad to be fair. Also think they should keep the old scoreboards turned on cause not only do they look shit switched off, it provides the real time clock and constant scoreboard. Alot of things need to be addressed in the summer,
Bugg Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Why does it need a constant scoreboard? Will we forget what the score is?
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Well what stadium doesnt have a scoreboard? Just looks odd without one.
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 In the football league i doubt you will find any
sphericalfox Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Well what stadium doesnt have a scoreboard? Just looks odd without one. They can't have both on at the same time. They've got four extension leads and 3 adaptors plugged into the same socket. It'll only blow a fuse.
Bugg Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 In the football league i doubt you will find any I beg to differ, most of the aways I've been to didn't have one.
Leicester Lass Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 I beg to differ, most of the aways I've been to didn't have one. Some probably did, it's just sometimes they're positioned in such a way that the away fans can't see them.

I love the way they have cut a whole in the plastic at the top of the stand so they can feed some cable down to the screen van. Does actually look like they're tapping into the electrics
Brown Fox Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Well what stadium doesnt have a scoreboard? Just looks odd without one. Newcastles St James Park doesn't have one and that's one of the biggest and best stadiums in the country
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Newcastles St James Park doesn't have one and that's one of the biggest and best stadiums in the country Theres always one <_< ...
Ozwin Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Newcastles St James Park doesn't have one and that's one of the biggest and best stadiums in the country Pretty sure they did have one. It was on the side of the pitch wasn't it? Like where the advertising boards are.
samjohnson Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 And one of the newer stadia in the FL collection, Stadium:MK, they have a solitary scoreboard behind the away fans if I remember correctly
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Pretty sure they did have one. It was on the side of the pitch wasn't it? Like where the advertising boards are. That's just a clock is it not?
Larry_LCFC Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Think also a great thing for the club to work on over the summer would be to get a live table up and running for the big screen. All very well showing the live scores but most people wanna know what that means for us. Thoughts?

All very well showing the live scores but most people wanna know what that means for us. Thoughts? If you were in reaching distance i would hug your right now! I have literally just developed a system that does exactly that for my final year project at university, its a website that allows an admin to add in results and news and all that malarky and then its all shown on the main webpage which is what a standard user see's, I am going to write in my report how fans wish to see a live table at games and how this system could be something completely new and revolutionary for just that!

Im feeling the love Sounds great. Make sure you tell the club about it too
Foxhateram Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Im feeling the love Sounds great. Make sure you tell the club about it too Do not own the IP due to stupid university regulations, so cannot advertise the system to the club . Then again I might drop a cheeky email to the club, proposing the idea. Anyone know who the media representative at the club is now? I used to have regular contact with the old guy, he was amazing! think his name was Peter, had many conversations with him on the phone, he even arranged a bus service for us from a forest game all the way to devon as there had been a train crash stopping us from getting home via that means. Legend.

Houdini Logic Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Embarrassing when the keeper collects the ball and has it it his hands for a drop kick and the monkey operating the screens puts up 'This Goal Kick is sponsored by...'
Brown Fox Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Pretty sure they did have one. It was on the side of the pitch wasn't it? Like where the advertising boards are. nahh they have how many minutes have gone in each of the corners and thats it! kind of weird really considering how great the stadium is
samjohnson Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 Did anyone else notice that the screens were raised in the time between Burnley/C.Palace and Watford? Just something I came across on!
