The Doctor Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 don't worry, Kev wouldn't allow that. It'll have slipped his notice, too busy trying to check that no fan is having fun (unless they've come as part of a family).
thybluefox Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 So they do. Slightly bigger ones to be installed next season too.
cc_star Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Not sure I'd like to be sitting under them if the wind gets up, good luck if that's you Good news for the club, bit of extra service for the fans, and more advertising opportunities to keep the bean-counters happy

davieG Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 They look lower than the mock up http://www.lcfc.com/...334634,00.html? The screens in place are temporary and will be replaced with slightly larger screens that will be fixed permanently in to the structure of the stadium in the summer.
sphericalfox Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2334634,00.html? Theylook lower than the mock up Does it look crooked or it is just me?
cc_star Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 They look lower than the mock up http://www.lcfc.com/...334634,00.html? Looking at the very back row on the pic on the left, if you were sitting there, you'd only just be able to see the camera man, so depending where he is on the opposite side, it looks like there's a chance of view-ability issues
davieG Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Does it look crooked or it is just me? Yo ah thought you wuz mo' gangsta sho 'nuff! Translator - http://www.joel.net/EBONICS/Translator
thybluefox Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 I reckon they'll be higher next season, like the mock up and actually in the blue boarding round the top.
Bert Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Looking at the very back row on the pic on the left, if you were sitting there, you'd only just be able to see the camera man, so depending where he is on the opposite side, it looks like there's a chance of view-ability issues Correct. Massively as well.

Massively as well. Bit of a balls up then? Presumably that's why they've come out & called them temporary as they've realised they'll have to change them. I wonder if advertising commitments have meant they need to get them up even though some people will be inconvenienced, wonder if they thought of this before they got them or found out after Shame for the 3 games we have (hopefully +1 more) but at least it's only 3
Fosse Boy Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Makes no odds to me, I'll be watching the people on the pitch.
Kenners Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Makes no odds to me, I'll be watching the people on the pitch. Or the back of a screen <_<
cc_star Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Makes no odds to me, I'll be watching the people on the pitch. Not much good if you can only see to the halfway line
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 They look absolutely shite. Would think they would atleast have some casing around them or sommit. Look out of place tbh.
Hitesh Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 They are the same as the mockups! Look pretty decent but some cheesy clips on.
danny. Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 These were horrible, so cheesy and poorly designed, everything was 'sponsored' by someone - corners, goal kicks etc. And for a lot of the time there was no clock - please at least leave on the other scoreboards if these cheap looking screens have to be used!
stix Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Dont see what the problem is with them? They replay the goals, show the team sheet, show the half time scores. What more do you want. The time went off for about 5 minutes in the 1st half at the end. Much better than the old scoreboards anyway. Does anyone on here sit directly behind them? Wondering if they affect anyones view?
davieG Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Not a fan of these normally but apart from the cheesy sponsorship of corner etc and the lack of a real time clock I thought they were ok, unobtrusive and the replays were good. I can certainly live with them.
Jimothy Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Didn't think they were permanent anyway, so the point about them looking a bit cheap and having no surround is a bit pointless. I don't mind them. They replay the goals, show the teams, the half time scores and are clearer than the shitty scoreboards. I moved seat for the Pompey game to sit in C1 (usually in the Kop) and with the old scoreboards from that angle 8's look like 3's so the time can get a bit hard to see. And yeah everything might be sponsored, but sponsorship mean money, which is never a bad thing.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 Did it show replays? Sometimes, Other times it came up with REPLAY and nothing happend
lcfc"weasel" Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 ****ing shit the lot of them, back row right in the corner and you can't even see the centre circle, still, free pie, pint and programme for the effort of moving forward a few rows.
