The Doctor Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 yes, i enjoyed being able to see more than half the game.
Wymsey Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 I heard they're getting bigger ones up when the season ends and these are just temporary ones.
Larry_LCFC Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 I see the old scoreboards are still up in the Walkers? I thought they were putting the big screens in the middle to replace them. Now the pitch is laid it surely cant be changed?

Now the pitch is laid it surely cant be changed? Well that's a shame. There s*** and pointless anyway, like I said before they put them up. All they do is show the game, WHILE THE GAME IS ON I suppose it's good for advertising though. But anyway, yes, they should of took down the old ones. It's gonna look crap now, having 2 scoreboards that are just there, and turned off

Bert Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 We're getting electronic advertising boards for the real Madrid game, on each side of the ground bar the east stand side. Not sure whether they'll stay for the season.

Not sure whether they'll stay for the season. Cringe all over. I despise them, an attempt at distracting you from the game so you can look at advertisement. About as anti-football as you can get, can't believe there's a single person on here happy with them. Hope it's a one-off.

It means the clubs revenue is increased, personally I've got no problem having them there if the money gained is put back into the club and indirectly increasing our chances of success.
John Matrix Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 would have been quality if they could have arranged a tv deal with 5. that would really have shown the club is serious.

Bert Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 I was a little confused here. When do we meet the fake side? My 4 year old niece comes out with better gags than that.
acooling08 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Thankful for the pitch improvments but the TV screens and now electronic advertisements are just cringey. This corner kick is sponsered by Singha beer.. Fcuk off.

B52 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 My 4 year old niece comes out with better gags than that. , I can't do any better than that.... But I will try.
Larry_LCFC Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Maybe they've already done all they needed to do under the pitch and all they need to do now is just put them up? just a thought.... It wasnt so much that but the fact that they needed to get bigger machinery like the platform lifts into the stadium to lift the screens. They said they would do it while the pitch was ripped up so the grass wouldnt be damaged. Maybe the plan has changed but i hope to god we dont keep those old boards up if they remain switched off.
acooling08 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 So you don't mind the owners paying for a new pitch, but don't want them to make some of it back through increased revenue in advertising etc. They will get enough revenue when we get into the Premiership The TVs are cringey though. Constantly advertising goalkicks, freezing when trying to do replays and replaying a cross that goes out of play... Same with the advertising boards. Very distracting, probably to the players as well.

Very distracting, probably to the players as well. I highly doubt the players are distracted by TV boards and screens... if so, we need new players who aren't retards. It brings more money for the club so why not? It would happen eventually anyway; we can't have high ambitions without trying to move our club on technology wise too, it wouldn't make sense.
Dan Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 It means the clubs revenue is increased, personally I've got no problem having them there if the money gained is put back into the club and indirectly increasing our chances of success. A fair comment. No different to having any advertising boards. Very apathetic about them. No different? Normal ad boards I can reluctantly accept, moving ones are fvcking ridiculous, why do they use moving ones instead of normal ones? Simple, to distract you from the game even more. Not one bit a fan, would ban moving ones all-together.
