Video Screen For The Walkers

'Immediate action replays' - is there not a rights issue with this??

They're allowed to show replays of goals, shots. But not fouls or offsides I don't think.

This is the only reason i've renewed. Seems I'm going to reap the benefits now.

Youve not reaped anything till youve got your King power discounts

If it is bigger than the one in town then I don't think you'll be struggling to see it from the other end of the Walkers. I guess they are bigger than the Man City screens then, and I didn't particularly struggle to see the on in the opposite end to us.

these are the screens in the walkers when we hosted the special olympics in 2009

now obviously i know they wont be positioned where they are in the photos but the reason for this post was...will they be a similar size to these?

Maybe effort should be put in by those musical linguist on here to come up with some suitable songs in readiness for the Burnley asking where the screens are?

Sounds like these screens could be as anticlimatic as our promotion push.

I'm sure there will be some extremely witty ones, I can see it now...

'Were the fu'kin 'ells the screens'

Repeat until bored.

Leicester City hope to have state-of-the-art giant television screens installed at the Walkers Stadium before the next home game.

City entertain Burnley a week on Saturday and the club intend to have two big screens positioned in the corner of the Family Stand and West Stand, and in the corner of the East Stand and the Kop.

The exact cost is not known but the Mercury understands that chairman Vichai Raksriaksorn and vice-chairman Top Raksriaksorn wanted the latest-quality specifications currently available.

The screens will be installed temporarily and will be made permanent features of the stadium in the summer.

It is part of the owners' plan to improve the match-day experience for supporters and give season-ticket holders more value for money.

Top said the King Power group were determined to reward the supporters for their loyal support, and he referred to the fans as the beating heart of the club.

"If you compared Leicester City to a human body, I think the supporters are like the heart," he said.

"Football today would mean nothing if it wasn't for the supporters and I think Leicester City have a good heart.

"Whoever the team play, in whichever league they play, you can see that the supporters try to support the team and I have the same target as the fans – to see Leicester City successful in every aspect."

Top said the owners were hoping to increase the number of season-ticket holders to ensure sell-out crowds and better atmospheres for home games by investing in improvements around the ground.

The deadline for Early Bird season-ticket sales is Thursday and Top said the club was trying to give fans value for money. He wants to see the atmosphere he experienced when City held Manchester City to a draw in the FA Cup tie earlier this season on a regular basis.

"The game we played against Manchester City in the FA Cup is my favourite moment since we came here," he said.

"The fans that came to the stadium that day were brilliant.

"The stadium was at full capacity, we'd sold out every ticket, the atmosphere that day was fantastic and the players played really well."

I have this really odd image of us having these absolutely massive screens, the biggest in football history or something just because Top can.

But seriously, if we have ones like the ones Man City have then I'll be chuffed, they were ****ing quality.

Surly there up now? :\

Surely you can wait 26 more hours to see?

Flol!

Although, this is pretty much all we have to be excited about now, lets face it.

And if you're not excited by the screens then...well...just hang in there...

FFS!

Can I add my voice to the "I couldn't give a flying toss about a poxy video screen" clan. If you want to watch the match on a massive ****ing tele, what is the point in going to the game?
