davieG Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 On the brink of promotion to the Championship, new ground next season and apparently have sold 16000 ST. We could well be playing them here next season. More images - http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/StadiumGallery/0,,10433~2312110,00.html
Wymsey Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Seen a 3-5 video clip on the insight of the new stadium a while back, and by the looks of it, its going to look superb. They're certainly a club on the rise.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Decent enough ground, shame they want to make the away end feel welcoming and friendly buy having walls that cna change colour to match that of the visiting team. What happened to wanting to have a home ground that is a fortress and entertaining.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Brighton's a big place. Hopefully play them on a Saturday, go down Friday hit the beach, pubs etc. Mate supports them so pretty pleased they're coming up.
I am Rod Hull Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Is it just me, Or can no one understand what the fook Poyet says half the time. They've been great this year. Runaway winners.
Joe. Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Been past on the train several times and it looks pretty smart. And what's that? Close away day next season? I THINK SO.
Houdini Logic Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Decent enough ground, shame they want to make the away end feel welcoming and friendly buy having walls that cna change colour to match that of the visiting team. What happened to wanting to have a home ground that is a fortress and entertaining. Nice gesture imo. Though surely that'd just camouflage the thugs?
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Obviously I hope get promoted but if we don't then possibly away games at Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton and Bournemouth
Fosse Boy Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Palace-Brighton derby next season would be a spectacle provided both finish in the right place in their respective divisions. Obviously I hope get promoted but if we don't then possibly away games at Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton and Bournemouth That would be some weekender. Need Blackpool to come down too.
AoWW Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Awww, I quite enjoyed peering into the fog, across the running track, trying to get a vague inkling of what was going on in the game in the distance. Oh, and the ladies loos were, erm, draughty.

Oh, and the ladies loos were, erm, draughty. 'Can you tell us who has scored?' is still one of the funniest chants I've heard. Maybe I'm just sad
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Obviously I hope get promoted but if we don't then possibly away games at Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton and Bournemouth Yeah Leicester Ciy UK beach tour 2011/2012. Would be 4 good awayers.
AoWW Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 'Can you tell us who has scored?' is still one of the funniest chants I've heard. Maybe I'm just sad I had to text someone who was listening to the radio commentary to find out.
Ashley Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 I would love this to be a weekend game should we play Brighton next season however people don't get your hopes up because it will more than likely be a Tuesday night game!
Alexikokopops Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Been past on the train several times and it looks pretty smart. And what's that? Close away day next season? I THINK SO. AMEN BROTHER. Well, it's sort of close.
Wycombe Fox Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Yeah Leicester Ciy UK beach tour 2011/2012. Would be 4 good awayers. Useless fact of the day; If I were to stand on the highest point of the Isle of Wight, I would be able to see Brighton, Portsmouth, Southampton and Bournemouth.
StanSP Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 What's Brighton like as an away-day? If they do get promoted, I'd be tempted to go down there to see us play them.
Guest Bilo Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Brighton away on the last day to get promoted in the kind of weather we've been having lately? Yes please, an absolute carnage weekend would follow. We could have some decent awayers next year if we don't go up.
Alexikokopops Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 What's Brighton like as an away-day? If they do get promoted, I'd be tempted to go down there to see us play them. Last time was a Tuesday night in October. We were 2-0 at half time and lost 3-2, with all the goals happening at the far end of the pitch and running track. I'm hoping next season (if it happens) is better!
StanSP Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Oh yeah I remember that match. Didn't Hobbs score an own-goal? Although my question was more directed towards the night out as well as the football but cheers for replying anyway

Unless i've misread the table, they're 17 or so points clear of third with 5 left to go, their win last night promoted them. edit: 16 points, promoted and only not confirmed champions since Southampton have a game in hand.
Jimothy Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 If it happens? Unless i've misread the table, they're 17 or so points clear of third with 5 left to go, their win last night promoted them. We can still go up
