Wellens

King

Gallagher

Yak / Heskey (Someone big and strong)

Kakuta (Loan)

Don't know why so many people love Kebe, I've not thoroughly watched this guy but he should have put away 5 sitters against us, maybe he was having an off game but wouldnt want those sorta chances being missed if it was my team.

I think my kind of realistic dream team would be

Scott Loach

Naughton

Mee

Hobbs

Cunningham

Gallagher

King

Wellens

Shane Long

Graham

Taarabt

Bench:

Bamba

Waghorn

Abe

Sinclair

Gradel

You say you dont know too much about Kebe, well you dont appear to know too much about football if you were being serious by putting Gradel and Taaarabt in your team. (Sorry if that seemed really mean, but seriously, come on)

Realistically I think Westwodd will move to the Prem but other than that I believe the new players are realistic. Gabbidon and Faye may be getting on but someone like that would add experience. Norris has always been a great midfielder at this level. And Nugent is lethal at this level, and we need championship players not young premier league players. QPR have proved that.

Westwood/ Lonergan/ Speroni

Naughton/Peltier

Faye

Mee/Gabiddon

Cunningham

Norris

Wellens

King

Kamara/Barnes

Nugent

Gallagher

Weale

Bamba

Hobbs

Abe

Waghorn

Moussa

Schlupp

Ok. Let us try and work out what has gone wrong:-

1. Poor goalkeeping.

2. A distinct lack of defensive midfield quality.

3. Other things, like not taking chances/ poor finishing/ inadequate strikers.

Solution:-

1. Get a new quality goalkeeper or two.

2. Never, ever play Wellens, King and Gallagher in the same team together. It DOESN'T work against hard working, strong, physical opposition who close down spaces. ( Like the worst 'away' team in any league in the country this season, Crystal Palace - lost 16 from 21 ).

It only works against other powder puff teams who want to play a pretty game of football, with wide open spaces and no tackling. ( Like Burnley or Doncaster etc etc ).

Everything has gone pear shaped since half time in the home match against Derby in Feb. Clough discovered that closing down, tackling hard, working hard and being physical was the way to stop our bunch of lightweights playing football. Most other managers have simply followed suit, it has been that easy for every team we've played in the last couple of months.

NB:- We have only won three ( Bristol City - just, S****horpe and Burnley - when Kamara had an obvious effect in his first game ) of the last eleven matches since Derby.

( Please note I think Yuki Abe and Oakley have done as well as any of us could hope for in the circumstances, when both are all round midfielders not necessarily defensive ).

In short, and in Sven's defence, this only really became apparent after the January transfer window.

I really hope Sven knows the deficiencies that are so obvious in relation to Wellens, King and Gallagher.

They may all be quite good players going forward, but that is all you get. My grandson is three years old today and he could kick shit out of all three at the same time!

We could keep them all, but only have one in the same line-up.

Now might be the best time to sell at least one while their value is more than their worth!

Some coo-coo fans about!

We need a keeper above all else. A right back and a striker. They're the essentials. A left back and centre back would be good too.

Westwood/Sorensen/Myhill

Naughton we all hope

Yak/Kamara/Heskey - maybe 2 of them

One of each position would have us looking very strong. We don't need a complete overhaul!

Just thought I'd post it again 'cos it is vital that Sven realises the situation this summer. I think he will, but if he doesn't we will definitely be looking for a new manager. We will NOT get promoted with two strikers plus King, Gallagher and Wellens in the starting line up together.

What does Vassell or Dyer have over Gallagher that means they should play ahead of him despite him being much more valuable to us?

I also think with a kick up the arse and a serious reminder of his defensive duties (mainly closing down and tracking back) Wellens could be much more valuable in midfield meaning even if he doesn't improve physically, King could be carried if we had a much more aggressive defensive midifelder.

Stockdale-looking like a good player

Naughton-we all love him

Bamba

Mee-best loanee

Cunningham-liked him alot

SWP-as we saw with kebe on Saturday pace in this league is key

king-off form but hes capable

wellens-same as king

gally-key player when he wants to be

Yak-as frustrating and fat and poor as he is sometimes when he plays well he causes alot of problems in this league

A striker who can finish:owen?keane? and as filthy as he is Marlon king-Too be fair he can finish

Weale / (or new keeper)

New right back (Naughton hopefully)

Bamba

Tunch

New left back / Berner

Wellens

Abe

King

Schlupp / Moussa

New striker / Vassell (I quite like him through the middle)

Gally

Based on what we have currently... We do have a decent core to build on, especially the centre midfield; although clearly very little depth once all our loanees go back. I also reckon Bamba and Tunch at the back could be fairly balanced (fitness allowing); one left -footed and one right, composure in Tunch and pace in Bamba.

New Keeper

New Right Back

Mee

Bamba

New Left Back

New Defensive Midfielder

Wellens/King/Abe

New Midfielder in the same mould as Moussa (maybe even him if good enough) who has pace and can run with the ball.

Gally

New Striker

Kamara

First the assumptions, Sven stays with us and decides to play modern, attacking football.

So who have we actually got who would be likely to hold down a place next season?

Keeper. No one, Ricardo was only ever an energency and Weale a backup at best, new keeper required.

Defence. Bamba to start, no-one else. Hobbs will leave (Hull?), Parkes on the bench. Of the loanees, Naughton and Vitor will go to bigger clubs and the Chelsea boys go home. Mee would be a great aquisition, loan or permenant. In addition we need two full backs, some experience would be good too.

Midfield. King will hopefully stay, the rest I am not too fussed about. Wellens maybe, depending on who else is available. We need a strong, physical type to complement King as the central pairing and a proper play maker in front of them. Wellens and Abe, if they stay, as backup.

Forwards. Could well be all change here too. Yakubu blows hot and cold and is expensive, rather see Vassel lead the line. Gallagher for all his faults is a very influential player so gets the nod on the left, no idea for the right. Waghorn and Dyer on the bench with Schlupp. I would let The Yak go, keep Kamara if the deal is right.

So of the players we actually have under contract, I can see just 3 or 4 starters, from the squad i would like to see Schlupp, Moussa and Waghorn given a decent chance in pre-season but otherwise some serious rebuilding.

One further point, for all his ability, Sven is not a great matchday coach, motivation, substitutions and changing games when things are not going well is not his strength, and so far does it not seem to be Faz's either. New first team coach to really take charge in the dressing room and from the sidelines.

Any particular bit that you think will upset him, or you for that matter?

Doubt that Kitch will be all that bothered, likes a decent argument....:dunno:

I think he read it as you saying replace Sven when you were actually saying bring in another coach

Absolutely not!

Sven is a 'big picture' sort of manager, what we need is a matchday coach who can motivate the starting XI, change the game and make substitutions when required, with Chriss P. gone we probably have space on the staff.

Get Faz to look after fitnes, new coach to work the tactics implementing Sven's stategy, good balance all round1

We will not get promoted if sol bamba is a first choice center back..

Is amazing how views change. Not long ago he had a "Sol Bamba, new cult hero" thread. lol

That wasn't a dig at you by the way, i should add. :)
