FoxesFan123 Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Looking at Svens signings so far, it does not look like he looks at players in this league or below. All seem to be big names or on loan from big clubs.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Amos Naughton/Finnan/McNaghton Bamba Robinson Mee Oakley/Riise King Wellens Bradley Wright-Phillips Gallagher Kebe

Basiac Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Why do I see the name king all the time. Why?? He is never in the game so no one bothers to Mark him and only then manages to score a lucky goal.
The Doctor Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Why do I see the name king all the time. Why?? He is never in the game so no one bothers to Mark him and only then manages to score a lucky goal. because you need goals to get out this league and he offers goals. And it's not because he's on the periphery of the game that he's never picked up - it's because his movement is very clever, arriving from deep, ghosting into the box and turning the ball home before a defender has time to react, his goals aren't lucky - they're the result of intellegent runs.

Mate Tbf I think it's just a co-incidence. He's so scared of getting into contact he tries to avoid people and manages to get near the goal and to make sure he doesnt get tackled he just hits the ball as soon as he can.
Dames Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Those who wouldn't have King in the team I can see why some wouldn't want him in the team due to the fact that when our backs are against the wall he disappears but those intelligent runs and good finishing alone merit a place in the team. Goals win you games.
cairnsy Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Those who wouldn't have King in the team Tell me what king has contributed in-between derby and reading. Its like playing with 10 men whilst he's playing
Callabinho Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Smithies/ Westwood Naughton Vitor Mee Cunningham Wellens Strong CM Morrison Gallagher Kamara SWP - Possible star signing/ Maynard.
Haydos Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Tell me what king has contributed in-between derby and reading. Its like playing with 10 men whilst he's playing He's not been great, no. But well spotted. You're basing your opinion of him an a bad patch that's the minority of his season. Not the fact that he's scored 15 goals? If he was replaced by Oakley over the course of this season I wouldn't be surprised if we were lower half, nowhere near the playoffs. Speculation of course but my point stands.

Speculation of course but my point stands. Well I'm just being like the majority of Leicester fans. Think Oakley has been our best midfielder the past month. And also I think king leaves us very exposed at the back too.(as well as wingbacks but not the point) I agree he's good when he scores goals but I think we have enough firepower with vas yak and Kamara then with the addition or someone else too. He's a wimp and hardly ever challenges for the ball especially an ariel battle
Gazza M Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 It's really hard to speculate at this stage just who is going to be available. Just read the other thread about out of contract players and there are some good names on there, but I think most will be in contract talks with their current clubs about re-signing. I would have no problem if Sven chooses to keep us going with the current formation next year, so I have picked my team using that formation. I think we are going to see wholesale changes at the club again. I hope Sven goes for a mix of a bit of premier flair with some solid championship pros. This is what I would aim towards: GK: Kieran Westwood (Free from Cov) DL: Greg Cunningham (Season long loan from Man City) DC: Ben Mee (1.5 M from Man City) DC: Jack Hobbs DR: Kyle Naughton (2.5m from Spurs) MC: Michael Brown (Free from Portsmouth) MC: Andy King MC Richie Wellens SL: Diomansy Kamara (Free from Fulham) SC: David Nugent (Free from Portsmouth) SR: Martyn Waghorn Subs: For what it's worth! GK: Chris Weale Sol Bamba Yuke Abe Bruno Berner Paul Gallagher Steve Howard Darius Vassell (new 1 year contract)
