Ambitious Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 If Sven leaves in the summer who would you want to replace him, along with myself, I'm sure the majority of fans want him to stay, but football as we all know is a funny game, this time last season, if 95% of Leicester fans were told by a fortune teller that Nigel Pearson would be leaving in the summer they wouldn't have believed it. We don't know how the Raksriaksorn's will react if/when we fail to achieve promotion. So if the Swede does unfortunately leave who would be on your shortlist of five for potential replacements. Here are mine: 1. Dan Petrescu currently managing Kuban Krasnador. 2. Neil Lennon currently managing Celtic. 3. Chris Hughton currently unemployed. 4. Ralf Rangnick currently managing Schalke 04. 5. Gary Neville currently unemployed.

Look Scouse like I said in my thread, this time last season did you think Pearson was gonna be leaving in the summer? as for Neville he would be at the bottom of my shortlist but like I just said I think he would be a very good manager.

Just personally think we should leave off appointing a new manager when the current one hasn't even hinted he might be off, that's all. And I have no idea if Gary Neville would be a good manager, but I'd say it was highly unlikely that he'll be our manager come August. Nor would I want him to be.

Turned a team in Romania called Unirea Urziceni from Top league strugglers to the Champions League knockout stages, Promoted a team called Kuban Krasnador to Russia's top league and their now fighting for the Russian Title, genius if you ask me.

Ambitious Posted 18 April 2011 Author Posted 18 April 2011 Like I said I think he would be a good manager, he's learnt from the best in the game in Sir Alex Ferguson, he's captained Man Utd to silverwear, has won everything there is to win, got all the relevant coaching qualifications, played at the highest level, the only thing that isn't is his favour is the fact he's got no managerial experience, but Jose Mourinho had to start somewhere.

Other than that, speculating over a coach's situation before the end of a season and with no clear signal that the current manager is leaving is pretty much pointless.
