orangecity23 Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 On the Yak's first, it looks like Loach catches the ball, hits his own player, then Yak hits the defender causing Loach to drop the ball onto Yak's head. What a cluster****. Just glad the ref allowed it, since he was a goober for most of the game, Watford got away with some pretty nasty tackles, and Abe's booking was nowhere near the worst tackle of the day.
ajthefox Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Couple of very nice finishes from the Yak, Brumas first was quality but his second is an absolute stunner. Chances are he won't hit one much if at all sweeter than that in his whole career. Nothing wrong with either of the Watford goals I don't think, which surprised me after many on here during the game claimed it was a blatant foul on Naughton, although I suspect that came from Stringer.

I thought it was a foul and I was there and the highlights back it up even more! Watch how he takes Naughton's legs completely from behind without touching the ball. That was a foul surely?!
Brown Fox Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Lovely goals by Bruma - just me that noticed that very few City players went to celebrate with him? Some absolutely shambolic defending from Watford. Glad to see it wasn't us for a change. They did celebrate with him. The first one you can see King jogging over and on the second one he full on sprinted to the other end of the pitch and Naughton was the only one that was near him! But yeah quite a few did in the end.
LCFCmatt Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 How far out do you reckon Bruma's goals were? I'm unsure about it, as I change my opinion every time I see the highlights.

Ron Combo Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Thanks for the highlights Davie. Excellent stuff!
Foxybeaver Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 I don't think Bruma is a popular man with the squad only Van Arshole celebrated with him
Guest Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 It's a little jerky at the beginning, I don't know why Does this comment have a relationship with the title coming from behind?
Thracian Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Naughton got exactly what he deserved for his schoolboy error and there's not a single Leicester fan would have screamed foul had we won the ball like that and scored. King deserved the same praise as Yakubu for making something of nothing when in a race with two defenders and Bruma's second strike was like a computer guided missile. Great entertainment all round even if our defenders looked way too static and were often seen to be slipping. I'm not a horticuluralist but really cannot understand why we water the surface just before a game. Or, if it has to happen, why our players don't wear studs that cope with such conditions because opposition players seem to manage well enough.
Wymsey Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 We certainly have to sign Mee and/or Vitor as they are such hard as rock at the back along with a defensive 'leader' just in case Tunchev has set backs etc. Great goals by Bruma but his performance apart from his goals were not the best. So glad Gallagher is playing better and better as the games progress and go by. Have to say the atmosphere was terrible, amongst the worst i heard this season.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 I thought he dropped the ball because he crashed into his own man, that's what it looked like from where I was though. The ref was abysmal anyway, he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football pitch. the ref was awful - agreed there, lets face it Wellens was hacked off the pitch and not a yellow in sight
Corky Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Our second wasn't a foul, their defender knocked the ball out of the keeper's hands.
STEVIE B Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Does anyone remember a couple of goals by Dutchman Arie Haan V Italy at the 1978 WC ? Bruma's 2nd was very similar. Worth a look on You Tube. I'd put it on here if I knew how !!!
