drc Posted 5 May 2011 Posted 5 May 2011 I know there were talks about a pre-season tournament in Sweden, and maybe a visti to thailand. Do anyone know if there are any confirmed plans fot the pre-season ?
cc_star Posted 5 May 2011 Posted 5 May 2011 Deffo off to thailand, we're certainly playing Arsenal there and of course we have Real Madrid at home... don't know of any non-exhibition games though

lcfc"weasel" Posted 5 May 2011 Posted 5 May 2011 We've only played Kettering once away recently haven't we.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 May 2011 Posted 5 May 2011 I thought that was a usual pre season fixture.. Thinking about it you're right though..

drc Posted 6 May 2011 Author Posted 6 May 2011 google-translated: Sven-Goran Eriksson and Leicester City FC to Stockholm in July 2011! Sport Business Nordic Sven-Goran Eriksson and Leicester City FC establishes its training camp with games against Brescia Calcio (Serie A) and RCD Mallorca (La Liga) in Stockholm. - We have accepted the invitation to come to Sweden this summer, says Sven-Goran Eriksson. During the period July 12 to 18 are Leicester FC, Brescia Calcio and RCD Mallorca in Stockholm. The teams will play each other in the newly established Stockholm Football Trophy. The tournament will also Hammarby to participate. - As we Swedes very rarely get to see high quality international football in Sweden, we are very pleased to have managed to attract teams from Italy's Serie A and Spanish La Liga. To even get hit Eriksson and Tord Grip with Leicester City FC is fantastic, "said Magnus Roos at the Sport Business Nordic, which is organizing in cooperation with the Stockholm Globe Arena and Hammarby. More information about Stockholm Football Trophy will be served during a press conference on Monday 9 May, at 13.30 at the Scandic Hotel Park, Karlavägen 43 in Stockholm. Sven-Goran Eriksson will be attending. Pre-registration required.
ajthefox Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 The bit about being glad to get Serie A and La Liga teams but then having to change the story for us made me laugh a little I suppose you could argue it shows we're a pretty big club/our second division is a lot better than others.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 Hope we get some good local games for once, we only seem to have one decent local game at most every pre season. Would like to play the likes of Kettering, Rushden, Northampton, Boston, Notts County. Would get a few City fans going if its not expensive.
singaporefox Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 Deffo off to thailand, we're certainly playing Arsenal there and of course we have Real Madrid at home... don't know of any non-exhibition games though Sweden for pre-season... I was so looking forward to the team coming to "Thailand" again missed them last time around
