Tbf Ricardo was always a short term sollution til the season ended. A pity though because he had qualities rarely seen in England.

It's arguable what his 'qualities' actually are, I neevr had faith in him at any point during a match if i'm honest.

I'm glad he's gone, purely because the way the Leicester fans treated him was absolutely appalling. It still defies me how you think a cr*p keeper can get 70+ appearances for the 3rd highest rated nation in the world. He also showed a fair amount of passion which could have pleased the "Wee-ullll" crowd, in the game where Waghorn scored the last minute goal (opposition is evading me- bristol city I think)- he was screaming at players to get up the pitch and coming about 25 yards out his box to pump brilliant balls into the strikers. He knew how important getting a result was.

Also, Weale was, in my opinion far far worse than Ricardo. Yes he had one or two good games before Ricardo came in; I do not care. He was terrible overall all season. Forest away was one of the worst goalkeeping performances I have seen in years. Ricardo may be prone to punching (as he has been for his whole career), but having a different way of handling high balls (which Weale isn't great at either) is nowhere near as bad as not being able to handle a shot from more than 10 yards away.

I would much rather have had Ricardo as back-up. A typical case of Leicester fans not being able to accept change. End of rant.

Great post, this shows also why it's important with journalists (or former players related to the club) that knows what football is and not is in a celler trying to look out through a tiny window. If Stringer had done some kind of journalistic work he could have analysed why Ricardos kind of goalkeeping was an advantage compared with Weales..... Hrmmm, is it someone commentating or writing in public about LCFC that is a true journalist?

Sven obviously doesn't agree, that's why he's got rid of Ricardo. The lad was past it, get over it.

Why do you bother post crap like that? lol

They had an agreement this season only because Ricardo wanted to be in Portugal.... Wonder why....
