A Prem club could lure him easily. We will see ... It has gona a bit quiet though, has it not? I mean surely this is his make or break season, there should be links, rumours aplenty, bits being tactically leaked to sell season tickets. Why is there nothing at all? He could be off, you know it as well as I do, its possible. Agree with you on that,would not surprise one little bit stranger things have happened in football
dpjfox Posted 6 June 2011 Posted 6 June 2011 As i have said previously Sven will be on hols for 2 weeks, assuming its prior to pre season training that doesnt leave a lot of time. I would hope the majority of incoming players are signed before the start of pre season training. Im not cocerned as yet as im sure deals are being ironed out at the moment

He'll be here next year, don't worry. I hope you are right. The last thing the club needs is another rebuild, it needs to kick on from the base established this season, ideally it would have done so from Pearsons but thats by the by now. I realise the links are there with the better loanees from last season, however its the lack of anything definitive regarding any of these, which is particularly concerning. The club knew from perhaps 10 games out that in all likelyhood it would be in this division for another year at least, so did those players, and definite yes or no sceiarios emerging as to their staying or going suggests uncertainty elsewhere. Could this uncertainty be the managers situation? Thankfully he isnt being linked with Fulham or Villa, but if he is in the next few days we will then know why its all so quiet.

Fulham or Villa. Its not impossible now is it? If you think about it, here is the man who followed money all the way to Meadow Lane. A quick fix return to the Prem with a club in trendy London. He wouldnt even stop to think about it. Jol has just been appointed the new Fulham manager and pretty sure Hughes will end up at Villa regardless of what the papers say.

Jakemoore Posted 7 June 2011 Posted 7 June 2011 I wouldn't say i'm nervous at the lack of transfer activity, however, i am unsure as to how the bookmakers can name us as most likely to go up when we haven't actually made a single signing yet, in this cas just say tomorrow was our first game of the season our squad would be really poor. I do think Sven will add to the squad and we will be up there come may 2012 but surely we can't be favourites until the signings actually starts to happen??
