davieG Posted 18 June 2011 Author Posted 18 June 2011 Sorry, but you are WRONG, \D\AVIE G.. The original conclusion was that this happened, but that was found to be incorrect. The final finding officially stated that this was NOT the cause, as people were moving in the SAME direction, when somebody fell on the terraces, near the top of the exit. The ground WAS MADE ALL SEATER IN THE AFTERMATH OF THIS DISASTER. Check it out. But it was happening because people were exiting the ground, don't they have to do that in all seater stadiums. Do you think it's impossible for someone to fall down the steps in an all seater stadium, have you tried to exit a packed ground via an upper level concourse leading to a steep flight of steps, I have and it was in an all seater stadium. Terracing had no direct impact on the accident. Terracing and fans have become the scapegoat for poorly designed stadiums and lets face it for that number of people to die because people were moving in the same direction makes it worse than if there was a mix. All seater stadiums were made the norm after Hillsborough but that had little if anything to do with standing so it happening after the Ibrox disaster carries no weight with me even if you do shout it.
Fosse Boy Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 It annoys me immensely that people like him run football.
Dan Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 It annoys me immensely that people like him run football. That's the most depressing thing about it, I thought these owners really did care about the fans and IMO they do so more than Mandaric but it just astounds me that Barclay has been promoted despite all of his wrong-doings, and it's not the fact he'll have any more of an impact on what happens (I'm not sure in the changes in his job), it's the fact that they see him as someone good enough to be promoted, it's really, really disappointing.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 To all my beloved posters, who have made their views above, regarding me, I thank you so much. I don't post to be popular, but I endeavour to post my VIEWS, not to placate a handful of empty headed minions, of mediocrity. Regarding Ibrox, the original fall was officially found to have taken place on the TERRACE, close to the exit stairs, propelling people in that direction, and causing the tragedy. That is why the ground was made all seater.
purpleronnie Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Oh well I thought it was a wind up. Turns out he's an idiot.
Guest Bilo Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Obviously DT has his views. No amount of evidence, sense or intelligent argument will shake him of those views. He clearly wants to smear terracing and if pretending he knows better than people who were actually there and their eye-witness accounts helps him justify his loathing of standing, as well as the official inquiries, then so be it. It's scarcely worth trying.
AoWW Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Can someone please ban the disabled that is Dangerous Tiger. He's either on a constant wind-up, or is just a total brain-dead disabled. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was both. We're already being criticised for moderating the site too heavily. Then we get others saying this person / that person should be banned. Can't win, really.

Also you continue to focus on a "handful" of tragic events that said posters have presented well constructed opposing arguements backed up with evidence and yet you continue to bury your head like a petulant child. One thing we do agree on is that you should be able to share your views, so let me reciprocate. It is my view you are an idiot.

Can you please find any evidence of them falling on the terrace? as i can only find eyewitness accounts that said they fell on the stairs.... it isn't so much you posting your views that is the problem. Its your inability to post them without insulting people....
