FrankieADZ Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 Some their comments on twitter are hilarious! Vile team. Don't know how they're top. Won't be much longer playing like that. Punching above our weight. We outplayed them today. Crap support only sang 3 songs. i've just had a look see too.... ....hmmm.....rose tinted specs come to mind.
Leicfox Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 They weren't impressed with our support http://www.smallheat...d.php?1,1063952 Absolute heroin addicted smack rat visible from Block 39 giving it the big'un all game. 'Orrid Mike Skinner was at the game then.
anglodan Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 They weren't impressed with our support http://www.smallheat...d.php?1,1063952 The person who mentioned it was the first time we've taken a good amount there in recent years was correct. That's football though. Last season we were on TV at their gaff and playing shite. We used to take good turnouts back when we were at the opposite end of the ground in the standing area
promised land Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 I have to agree with the 'YOU'RE SHIT AHHHH.' on goal kicks. This has long gone from every other club, it makes us look embarrasing especially at home. I just wish we'd drop it, maybe if we do go up or when we do we'll see no other club does this and it will get dropped. On a side note did anyone see Kaspers reaction when we scored? There is a player with passion.
iancognito Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 I love the latest comment Leicester's a rugby town, really. The football team and its supporters will always be the poor relations. I suppose they'd be the experts on being the poor relations in town!
Leicester_Numan Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 Had to laugh at the tweet describing us as the new Stoke, our centre halves are a disgrace, more like rugby players than footballers. Obviously the million and one fouls that Brum committed were perfectly acceptable. Frankly, they were lucky not to be down to 8 let alone 10. There was a good tweet about their empty seats outsinging our raucous 4000, from their perspective. They were definitely wearing their blue tinted specs today

I don't care if 'it's long gone from every other club', that's all the more reason to keep it. Why are you afraid of us being unique? That's a good thing. Besides, it actually did put the keeper off at QPR 3 years ago 1

Guest ttfn Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 Maybe St. Andrews is one of those grounds where you just can't hear the other end? Because our end was pretty loud for about 60 minutes today and they are saying they heard nothing. And I barely heard a peep from their end and they are saying they were noisy...
anglodan Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 Having sat with the home fans today I thought the turnout looked fantastic Speaking with a brutally honest approach though, it wasn't the most vocal. It may have been loud within the confines of the away stand, but around the halfway line it wasn't exactly spine tingling. Decent, but could have been louder considering the numbers We sometimes seem to lack a variety of chants. It WAS loud and great to watch after we scored and at the end of the game. However for the most part there seemed to be little cohesion to get the whole pack in unison. All in all though the potential's there & we looked great today. One thing I do miss though it the ticker tape receptions we used to give the team when I was growing up watching us in the 90s, that was the shit!

They probably were noisy...for them. I was listening on the radio and I could make out quite a few of our chants, none of their's though, although it sounded as if they were getting on the refs back at times, not sure why considering its pretty obvious we should have had a penalty and they could have had a couple sent off.

Besides, it actually did put the keeper off at QPR 3 years ago Unique? Our fans were singing it to Joe Hart in the FA Cup and today to Butland, 2 England keepers who are hardly shit. It is childish and Filbert doesn't help matters by getting people to do it, if you have been to any Prem games in the last few years then you will see how stupid we'll look up there. Each to their own, you carry on being a 5 year old if you wish. Ah, just spotted you were listening on the radio and not there, oh well maybe you can keep doing it in your kitchen on a Saturday afternoon and won't feel embarrassed, me I'll miss that part out when at the games. Going to the football is supposed to be fun, if people enjoy it what's the problem? We certainly shouldn't stop doing anything because opposition fans don't like it. 1

Each to their own, you carry on being a 5 year old if you wish. What's childish about it? You could argue all chants are childish, I don't sing stuff when I'm at a restaurant and at the cinema. When I was 5 I didn't swear like that. Grown men have been doing it ever since I first went to Filbo. Sorry but I don't see how it makes us look stupid at all. No idea what you're talking about. You could argue the poznan looks stupid, or when we sing other clubs' anthems, but what's stupid about a couple of swear words to put the goalkeeper off? It's just quintissential football fan behaviour. Ridiculous statement about Hart and Butland, since when were football fans supposed to be complimentary/about opposition players? Not everyone with a beard is actually a gypo you know. Edited 20 October 2012 by Kitchandro

I was sat in the home fans behind the goal and I could here you no probs from that end of the pitch. Especially when we scored. The blues didn't have many chants apart from England's number one and who the fu@k are you. One thing they did that made me chuckle. When they announced our subs coming on and players going off the shouted WHO?

I was lucky enough to get a free seat in a box full of blues fans directly behind our support. I have to say our end was singing all the way through - something commented upon by the guys I was with. It must be the acoustics because i don't think we stopped singing all the way through

Besides, it actually did put the keeper off at QPR 3 years ago Spot on Even when other clubs were doing it I've never heard it as loud as it's done at Leicester. At times it can get the support going as well and quite often other chants are born from the noise levels being ratcheted up by it. It's a Leicester tradition, one of the decreasing things that you can say has been done at Leicester matches over the years. Next we'll have people wanting us to ditch the post horn gallop, When You're Smiling and... well I'm struggling to think of anything else which kind of proves my point. Keep it. 3

Ive read/heard a lot of pundits recently talking about the quality of football we play, most teams we've played have beencomplementary apart from Boro and this shower, both have a similar clueless set of fans

Maybe the fact that other clubs have ditched it explains the dead atmosphere at some grounds. I used to love it at Filbo with the double decker amplifying the noise
