jamesmilner Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 anyone know who the american trialist is ? look on the mercury website at the lads in pre season , he has the number 35 on his kit .
nuttytimmy Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Thats Michael Ball i think not sure Nah, can't be: Michael Ball's ears aren't that big.
DeclanMC Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Dunno but he looks a ringer for Josip Simunic: Dunno about that, I can see where the trialist's head finishes and neck starts
Nick Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Dunno but he looks a ringer for Josip Simunic: This giraffe had me in stitches. And I don't think that's Michael Ball in the training photo.
BigBawsFaeTheShaws Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Mr Bennett from Take Hart? Ps. Ask your Dad.
jamesmilner Posted 6 July 2011 Author Posted 6 July 2011 no , its not ball . definitely a yank trialist , who i dont know .
Joe. Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 No idea who he is, but just seen that we trialled Stuart Holden in 2005... Never knew that.
shen Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Don't know if anyone is in the know or has jumped to conclusions, but his Wiki states he's here on trial
RizLCFC Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josip_%C5%A0imuni%C4%87 Says Simunic is on trial with us, but we all know how reliable Wikipedia is so we'll just have to see. He does look a lot like him.
Sparky Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 No idea who he is, but just seen that we trialled Stuart Holden in 2005... Never knew that. He may well have been signed but broke his ankle here during the trial.
Dan Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I reckon it is Simunic, does look like him and the Wikipedia edit actually came before this thread.
John Matrix Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 He may well have been signed but broke his ankle here during the trial. shame
StanSP Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 No idea who he is, but just seen that we trialled Stuart Holden in 2005... Never knew that. Never knew that . Shame he got a nasty injury though
MC Prussian Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 The guy in the squad picture doesn't look like Simunic at all. More like a certain cartoon character with a hunch for spinach.
sbfox Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Dunno if he's just getting fit with us, or looking for a move? Any ideas people ITK? On a side note, how ****ing tanned is Moreno?
John Matrix Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Upon the release of his autobiography in 2007, Poll revealed that, upon booking Šimunić for the second time, he had erroneously recorded him as "Australia #3" (who was defender Craig Moore), due to Šimunić's Australian accent. haha
sdb Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Hmmm, apparently he's 6'5. Guy in the photo does not look 6'5.
Collymore Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Dunno if he's just getting fit with us, or looking for a move? Any ideas people ITK? On a side note, how ****ing tanned is Moreno? I think you'll find that is Moussa
Alf Bentley Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Maybe there's some truth to this Simunic suggestion... Here are a couple of recent links about him being in dispute with management at Hoffenheim, and if you look at the pic, the guy in the LCFC photo is a dead ringer (compare the elfin ears!): http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11895_6998446,00.html http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12961_7006977,00.html Simunic is a native English speaker (Australian by birth), likes playing it out from the back but with a hard edge (like a few other recent Sven purchases).... 2+2=5 or maybe not? Was certainly a good player (if occasional disciplinary liability) at his peak, and not all that ancient now...
