Trialist?

It is defiently not Josip Simunic. Josip wouldn't need a trial he would walk straight in to our starting eleven and the fact he is still at Hoffeinheim

He's 33, has had a few niggling injuries in the past seasons and was hardly used by Hoffenheim last season, with Compper and Vorsah being the regular starters if I remember right. He's at a stage where he wants first team footie, and I wouldn't put it past Sven to be able to attract him here...

Would still attract interest from mid to low prem sides let alone having to require a trial at a Championship side even with a few niggling injuries. Also believe he is still contracted for another 12 months by memory he is only just finished his 2nd of a 3 year contract.

Dunno if he's just getting fit with us, or looking for a move? Any ideas people ITK?

On a side note, how ****ing tanned is Moreno?

I couldn't figure out who he was at first. lol

But aren't we currently trying to attract players that would be able to play lower to mid Prem football :dunno: And you can still come on a trial when under contract. Happens all the time

What hes saying is hes too good for us and wouldnt need a trial, he would probly be offended by the offer of a trial by a championship club

The reputation of the Championship has grown considerably over the past few years, proven by the quality of players in the league. Nolan is too good for the Championship as well, but that didn't stop him going to West Ham. Same with Bellamy and Yakubu coming down while Coloccini, Enrique and Barton all stayed on. We've got the dosh, so we're "good enough".

As for being offended by a trial, it works both ways. He gets to see the surroundings here and get an idea of the quality in the squad before he wants to commit. As I said, he's in the twilight of his career, he's probably still got ambitions of regular playing time at a decent level (for the right amount of money). And we've got Sven. Simunic would know that when someone like him shows interest, it's genuine. So no reason to be offended either
