ScouseFox Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 He clearly should be allowed to, he's the captain of his club, he has been the captain for the other 12 (?) games of the competition. He kneed someone in the back, yes, so he misses the biggest game of his career. If they win he should still be allowed to be involved in the celebrations, he's still played a big part in the (possible) winning of the competition.

ADK Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Most venues aren't neutral, what do you suggest? Choosing the venue at the quater final or round of 16 stage maybe? Having a back up venue? I don't remember this being an issue in the FA cup.
ScouseFox Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Choosing the venue at the quater final or round of 16 stage maybe? Having a back up venue? I don't remember this being an issue in the FA cup. Nobody has their home ground as Wembley. If you think about it, the best stadiums are played in by the best teams, so if you want a good venue there's quite a decent chance that the team who plays their home games there may make an appearance in the final. Don't see the big deal really.
21st Century Fox Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 I can't see the problem, it's a final, for every advantage you could say it gives them, there's also a huge amount of pressure.
Libertine Posted 26 April 2012 Posted 26 April 2012 Guardiola to step down tomorrow it appears. (Didn't know where else to put this.)

Think hes underrated for how good he is Not sure about that, fairly sure the Germans rate him as one of the best central midfielders in the world. Think Man Utd have been linked with him on occasion as well.

Yeah obviously he isn't underrated by Germany of bayern but think he's good enough to be mentioned as one of the best players in the world. Top 10 imo

The stadium gets split between both fans though. Just because Bayern will be comfortable on their own pitch, doesn't mean they won't be intimidated by 30,000 Chelsea fans at one end. Also there is the possibility of added pressure, because they're in their own city and are favourites.
