21st Century Fox Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 They did mention that Messi had been suffering from gastroenteritis since the weekend, which was why he looked so out of it.
Darkon84 Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Pepe looks ever so slightly like a creepy rapist there. He looks nothing like Ched Evans
MC Prussian Posted 25 April 2012 Author Posted 25 April 2012 Regardless of whether you like Barcelona or not, yesterday's game and result was just another reason why football is called the Beautiful Game. Who would've thought that a Spanish team so dominant in recent years, with such a star-studded roster and that special kid in the middle could c*ck it up so royally against ten-men Chelsea managed by an interim solution who once coached MK Dons in League One not so long ago?
Haydos Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Barca have had two crunch games this season, both at home, season defining, and have lost both while their talisman player has gone missing. I think that speaks more about them that a 445464-0 thrashing of Getafe. What about last season when they demolished Real? Or when they smashed Arsenal? They've had a blip. They'll be back. Obviously teams are beginning to stifle them, the more exposure they get, the more obvious it becomes how to beat them. To be fair, how they didn't win this tie was unbelievable. A missed penalty and hitting the woodwork 3 times in the return leg alone. They should and could have been well clear. I'll admit Guardiola does need a plan B, a way of changing things around because they do look clueless when up against a disciplined team. As for 'the Barca lovers have gone quiet'? Have they? All I've heard the last couple of weeks is how they're going to hammer Chelsea and about Messi's 62 goals and whatnot, they've been the opposite of quiet.
Haydos Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Also, people that criticise Messi.....You must be a bitter and/or jealous person. The man is a genius, there's no other way to describe him.
Mack Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 I'm not going to reply to all the responses due to time constraints. I would suggest in reply Barca and Messi may well have been found out, next season will tell. I no Real fan and have no axe to grind with Barca, I was merely making a personal unbiased opinion public that those who have been putting Barcelona on a pedestal of late may have been premature in calling them and Messi the best ever. History will be the final judge in some years time.
Finnegan Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 I would argue that the Barcelona side lauded as the "best ever" has been and gone for bow, really. Xavi and Puyol are ageing, Toure has gone, Villa is both injured and passed his peak, Abidal continues to struggle with health and the replacements for these players have not been world class. But who can possibly deny that over the last two or three years they were simply irresistible?
HEGGSY Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012

Also, people that criticise Messi.....You must be a bitter and/or jealous person. He has a few bad games after having a quite incredible season induvidually and people criticise him, ridiculous.
Corky Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Gary Neville lol His talents go far and wide http://vimeo.com/40998935
ADK Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Barca are still the best club in the world for me. Although they did lose, it is the nature of cup competitions that the best team does not always win.
ScouseFox Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Barca are still the best club in the world for me. Although they did lose, it is the nature of cup competitions that the best team does not always win. Hate to go all Geoff Shreeves on you, but Barca aren't going to win the league either... Anyway, onto tonight, hoping for another cracker. Not bothered who wins, I like and dislike bits about both teams. Ronaldo is great. Jose winning to face Chelsea would be boss. But I've always had a lot of love for Arjen Robben, so I'm not too fussed.
Jaspa Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Lets not forget the other semi is on in 15mins lads ITV Can see Bayern getting slaughtered tbh But maybe they'l exercise the demons of 2 years ago Should be good
Matt Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Harsh peno to be given but oh well! G'won Real! **** Chelsea up Jose
IdiotequeFox Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Ronaldo > Messi - Real just tearing Bayern apart at the back. 2-0 Real Madrid.
marko Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 The way this game's going it could be a cricket score.
HEGGSY Posted 25 April 2012 Posted 25 April 2012 Are people saying Ronaldo > Messi based purely on last night and tonight?
