Babylon Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Don't get me wrong I'd love half of their team here, I was just pointing out that not one person seemed to care about anything other than buying their players. We should know from first hand how bad administration can be for a club. Do you think anyone cared about us?
David Guiza Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 I'd obviously love players like Jerome on the cheap all I was saying is there's more to it in than that. Pompey brought in a massive amount in transfer fees just before there troubles and were still on the brink of going completely bust. I don't particularly like Birmingham but as a football fan I wouldn't like to see even Forest go out of business. And in response your second post.. I did a search for #bcfc on twitter and other than the odd Villa fan laughing the vast majority were tweets from other fans saying sorry to hear about the news ect so I think yes people do.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 The two things have sod all to do with each other. People saying we could buy their players is nothing remotely like Warnock slagging us off. Putting the knife in on a team (Warnock) and not particularly caring (me) are two different things. I didn't / don't expect sympathy from people for anything to do with this club, I just expect them to get their bloody facts right if they are going to slag us off. Prepare for a life of constant disappointment. Maybe folk want all other clubs to go to the wall and LCFC to be the last one standing and then be declared the winner. At least we'd get our Saturdays back to do something more productive
Babylon Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Prepare for a life of constant disappointment. I've made it my lifes work to educate the fools on other forums. Maybe folk want all other clubs to go to the wall and LCFC to be the last one standing and then be declared the winner. At least we'd get our Saturdays back to do something more productive I don't want them to go to the wall, I just don't particularly care.
Babylon Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 I don't particularly like Birmingham but as a football fan I wouldn't like to see even Forest go out of business. I've not said I want them to go out of business, just that I don't particularly care about their situation. Maybe because we've been through this times before with other clubs and ourselves, and every time they have managed to survive. And in response your second post.. I did a search for #bcfc on twitter and other than the odd Villa fan laughing the vast majority were tweets from other fans saying sorry to hear about the news ect so I think yes people do. Twitter was full of people crying about Amy Winehouse as well.... I also didn't care about that.
Babylon Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 What's happened to Amy Winehouse? Is she OK? Dunno but Alfred from Batman is dead.
Corky Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 What's happened to Amy Winehouse? Is she OK? A lot of her songs are being played on the music channels at the moment. They were even played when 80's Disco Night was scheduled.

MPH Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011  :crylaugh: :celebrate: :frantics: 22 Teams Left either you are too young to remember or you are heartless... When we were in administration it was a terrible feeling and one that made the fans feel helpless and in some ways annoyed that it had come to this.... To make matters worse Birmingham will be ten points down on the season... how demoralising for the fans. I Strongly believe every true fan should share the pain the Birmingham fans will feel if this ends up in administration for them... Football is about the fans after all not the morons involved in the running of the club....
ScouseFox Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Sound, we probably benifit. But aww poor Birmingham, poor, poor Birmingham. So.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 I'll only be happy if MK Dons go into administration, but have sympathy for every other club's fans who have to go through it as it's a horrible time. There again, the 10 point deduction is what they and every FL club but ourselves voted for as the penalty so any whining about that will fall on deaf ears.

Yojoe36 Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy1gp3F5NhY I find that Ironic, seeing as Jackson is dead, and Birmingham could be...... I'll shut up now. Goodbye
BlueSi13 Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 How as this even happened to them? As far as i can tell they weren't the biggest spenders during their time in the Premier League, and they weren't paying for a new stadium or anything like that? So where has all that income they got from being in the richest league in the world gone? Yet another lesson to the football league about the perils of poor/foreign ownership

In the main it's probably down to that as he can't keep them afloat using his funds... presuming of course he would want to.

It will happen to a lot more in the future as long as teams keeping chasing any sort of ownership in gambling for short term success with no care for the consequences.
Guest MattP Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 SportingbetMark Mark O'Haire ...the same happening to #LCFC. And that's why I'll be avoiding Sven's Foxes for promotion. Just don't trust the foreign owners. Why are you banging your head? It could happen to anybody.
Simmo86 Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Why are you banging your head? It could happen to anybody. COULD happen. That tweet is stating it is happening with us, when its obviously not!
Daggers Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 It should be born in mind that they are not entering administration at this moment in time. If you look at their income this season it is highly unlikely that they will, but they may have to look at cutting wage costs a bit through offloading a couple of players.
accessory Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 I'll only be happy if MK Dons go into administration, but have sympathy for every other club's fans who have to go through it as it's a horrible time. There again, the 10 point deduction is what they and every FL club but ourselves voted for as the penalty so any whining about that will fall on deaf ears. Actually they were in the Premier League at the time (03), so they didn't vote for a 10-point penalty. Once again, though, questions have to be asked about how lax the PL's "fit and proper owners" test is. It seems to be Carson Yeung's alleged misdemeanors, rather than just relegation, which are the source of the brummies' current financial issues. They also have a major trophy in their cabinet and a European tour to look forward to this season, which plenty of top-flight clubs (including their neighbours) will still envy them for.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Thought it was the 92 clubs and not just the 72? I stand corrected if not.
