davieG Posted 17 August 2011 Author Posted 17 August 2011 Tom Parkes loan ends early due to a broken ankle
Guest NGoloMode Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Hasn't Elliot Chamberlain gone on loan somewhere? Stockport County.
Sylvie85 Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Shame about tom parkes! Hope he has a quick recovery!
davieG Posted 17 August 2011 Author Posted 17 August 2011 OS Two Foxes went head-to-head on Tuesday night as two of the Club's young professionals began their latest spells out on loan gathering competitive first team experience. Striker Elliott Chamberlain, who joined Stockport County earlier this week, and defender George Taft, who began a month-long spell with Kettering Town soon afterwards, were on opposing sides in the Blue Square Premier. And it was Chamberlain's Hatters, managed by former Foxes first team coach Didi Hamann, that came out on top at Edgeley Park - Euan Holden on target for the home side While George was in the starting eleven for the Poppies, and completed the 90 minutes on debut, Elliott had to make do with an introduction halfway through the second half, and nearly opened his account the Hatters late-on. Both players will be hoping to further their experience at the weekend - Chamberlain at home as Stockport host Ebbsfleet United and Taft in the north-east as Kettering travel to Gateshead. Of the other City players out on loan, there was a late comeback for Aleksandar Tunchev's Crystal Palace, who scored twice in stoppage time to beat Coventry City 2-1 in the npower Championship. Starting his second consecutive game since joining the Eagles on a month's loan, Tunchev completed another 90 minutes for Dougie Freedman's men at Selhurst Park, in another indication that he is back to full fitness following the injury problems of recent seasons. Of the youngsters on loan in npower League 2, Cian Bolgermade his first start of the season for Bristol Rovers and completed the match as the Pirates beat Northampton Town 2-1 at the Memorial Stadium - a result that lifted Paul Buckle's men to seventh in the table. Further down the early-season table in npower League 2 sitTom Parkes' Burton Albion, who drew 1-1 with Port Vale on Tuesday night - Tom playing the majority of the game before being replaced in stoppage time. Liam Moore was again in the Bradford City starting eleven for the fourth consecutive game, but was unable to prevent the Bantams falling to a 1-0 defeat at Accrington Stanley - their third defeat in four games this season ahead of Dagenham's visit to Valley Parade this weekend. That run of form is in stark contrast to Conrad Logan'sRotherham United, who retained npower League 2's only 100 per cent record on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win at Crewe Alexandra. Conrad has started every one of the Millers' three league games so far this season and they will fancy making it four from four at the weekend when they host Barnet at the Don Valley Stadium.
chrisfox Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Looks like with all the Sven out, and we're shit posts, this one's slipped through the net Burton's on-loan Leicester defender Tom Parkes fractures ankleParkes was in his second loan spell with Burton On-loan Burton Albion defender Tom Parkes is highly unlikely to play again until next year after fracturing his ankle in the draw against Port Vale. Parkes has returned to his parent club Leicester City to undergo surgery. Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido said: "It's disappointing for the lad and obviously disappointing for the boys because he was an integral part of the team. "He'd come in and done extremely well - he was looking sharp." The 19-year-old, who rejoined Albion from Championship side Leicester City in the summer, had impressed the Burton manager in two previous loan spells and with his attitude in the close season. "I keep going on about this new focus that he had and he really worked hard over the summer months to make sure that he came in in peak condition. "Unfortunately for the boy he's gone and broken his ankle." Parkes' loan stint at the Pirelli Stadium was scheduled to expire at the end of January 2012 but it is thought he will not return to the League Two side. link to bbc story

Jimmy Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Aleksandar Tunchev again had the pick of the weekend's results among City's loan contingent, as the Bulgarian continues to prove a lucky charm for npower Championship rivals Crystal Palace. Playing against a former manager in the shape of Hull City's Nigel Pearson, Tunchev completed his third 90 minutes in the space of a week as Palace made it three wins in a row to go fourth in the table. On a month's loan to work on his fitness following a long spell on the sidelines through injury, Tunchev has been impressive since breaking into Dougie Freedman's side nine days ago and the Eagles have yet to drop a point with City's 30-year-old defender in the side. Tunchev is currently due to return to King Power Stadium on September 1, but will be eligible to face Crawley Town in the Carling Cup on Tuesday before Blackpool make the trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday. Elsewhere in the Championship, Dany N'Guessan missed out on the chance to face former loan club Southampton with current loan club Millwall, having sustained a hamstring injury. The Frenchman is expected to be sidelined for two weeks. In npower League 2, Conrad Logan's Rotherham United dropped their first points of the season, but did maintain their unbeaten record with a 2-2 draw at home to Barnet. With Conrad making his fourth straight league appearance, the Millers stayed joint-top of the division as Crawley moved level with them on 10 points from their first four games. Out of the Carling Cup at the hands of the Foxes in round one, Rotherham have no midweek game before an interesting test against third-placed Gillingham at the weekend. Seven places below the Millers in League 2 sit Bristol Rovers, for whom Cian Bolger was a starter in their goalless draw at Macclesfield Town. The young Foxes defender completed his second consecutive 90 minutes for Paul Buckle's men, playing his part in a clean sheet at Moss Rose against a Silkmen side that hit four at Hereford in their last outing. Bolger will hope to be involved when the Gas host Watford in their rearranged Carling Cup first round tie on Tuesday, before slow-starters Hereford travel to the Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Another graduate of the City academy was in action for Bradford City, as Liam Moore completed a fifth-straight 90 minutes of competitive, senior football. While the first-year pro continues to add valuable first-team experience to his defensive talents, he has yet to be on the winning side while with the Bantams, who suffered a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Dagenham & Redbridge. Just outside the Football League, in the Blue Square Premier, young loanees Elliott Chamberlain and George Taft were both involved in draws. Chamberlain was again introduced off the bench for Stockport County, who were held at home by Ebbsfleet United in a 1-1 draw, while Taft was again in the starting eleven for Kettering Town, who picked up a useful point at unbeaten Gateshead by the same scoreline.
Narborough_fox Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 liammoore93 Liam Moore Peeps it's been hard for me to keep quiet l,ol but i will be extending my loan!! Really pleased because iv loved my time so far.. #bcafc I assume it's until January. Good on him anyway, been Bradford's best player according to my mate.
Bantam82 Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Bradford fan here! Just registered to update you on Liam Moore. What a player this lad is going to be! Quick, strong, accomplished. His positional sense is the only slight downside at the moment but he's made up for that a couple of times with his pace. He seems to be improving game on game. He likes to get forward where possible and seems to have a real engine on him. Even though its Second Division football he belies his 18 years. We've played both Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday in Cup ties and he's coped admiringly. Any chance we can have him for the season please? Hopefully Sven realises a season playing regularly in League 2 will do him the world of good! Best of luck this Season, hope to see you in the Premier league next year!
