When you're tired and weary

your heart will skip a beat

You'll get your F****** head kicked in

when you walk down filbert Street

You'll walk into the Spion Kop

and hear a mighty roar

F*** off you Forest B*******

We are the Leicester Boys

Once upon a time there was a Spion Kop,

Where we used to throw a can or two,

Where we used to while away the hours.

Watching the boys in royal blue!

Those were the days my friend,

We thought they'd never end,

We took the Shed, and the North Bank Highbury,

We live the life we choose,

We'll fight and never lose,

For we are young, and sure to have our way!

Raj, just trying to get the point across that we can do something about the atmosphere.

Rather than just banging that bleeding drum and doing the most boring chants (OK they have their place) we can actually sing!!!!!

Its been gone over and over on here many many times.

Im all for creating an atmosphere and getting it how it was at Filbo, like the Fosse Boys trying their best and the old N Block boys.

BUT football isnt how it used to be and we have to accept it will NEVER be like the atmosphere of olde.

Fair dinkums for evryone trying, but if we get 5mins of'Lester,Lester<lester' then thats a blessing nowadays!!

Up the shitty!

I hope he does, because threads about fighting and violence are really cool.

I hope he has some racist and some homophobic chants too, then we can really wind back the decades to when football was great.

Can't go into value systems now I'm late for an EDL initiation ceremony and I still have to burn every book I've ever read and learn the Gospel according to Lt. Stone Island before I get there - wish me luck.

But it doesn't rhyme?

I've never heard the song before, but surely it would make sense if it was "noise" instead of "roar"? :dunno:

Most of the old songs have slight differences in lyrics depending on who's singing. A lot of my mates sing the original song lyrics 'We'd live the life we choose, we'd fight and never lose' proper thug that Mary Hopkins was.

Without "that bleeding drum" it would be completely dead, when we were at Filbert street it was always the kop that got the songs going but that dont appear to be the case now, we hardly ever hear the kop at the other end of the stadium

Tbh, you only hear the drum from the kop, rarely any of the singing that goes with it.

How are you going to get the atmosphere going when you can't even agree what the original words were?

F U all, give me chelsea dagger :frantics:

The differences are lost in the crowd and unfortunately enevitable when a large groups sings - oops that's the problem no crowd or large group.
