21st Century Fox Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I'm not on twitter but I check out what some of the players say now and again especially after matches. I'm not sure if this is some sort of ongoing joke or whether this guy is genuinely abusing Gally. I can understand shouting your discontent from the stands but it seems a bit much to voice it that way so publicly on twitter. azzabarrett Arron Barrett @ @Gally_7 you didn't put a shift in when you came on full stop! Overall #LCFC were unlucky but very poor no excuses! Waste of time mate azzabarrett Arron Barrett @Gally_7 you might think I'm a dickhead, but it makes me so mad that you think you're big time when you're an average Joe #overrated azzabarrett Arron Barrett @Gally_7 if you've got a pair of bollox you will give me and the 5000+ others a reply.. You owe us that Gally_7 Paul Gallagher @ @azzabarrett another 1 of my biggest fans cheers mate ..#clown.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 You go on social media then you open yourself to millions of morons. Live by the sword - die by the sword. And all that.
Bert Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Fans need someone to be the scapegoat, and because Gally isn't playing too well at the minute (purely down to the fact he's not starting each game) people are aiming it at him. It's pretty ridiculous that people are slating Gally I think. It's so hard to get into games coming on as a sub, doesn't help when Gally who isn't the best in the air, is having high, long balls pumped up to him when he's being marked by the tank that is Wes Morgan. Lay off him I say, because for me he's technically our best player and he will score and provide many goals this season, some people are forgetting the league is only 4 games in.
Larry_LCFC Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 What an embarassment. Some people are beyond help. Would love to round all these pricks up and pack em off to the ricoh. They could do with some more morons to fill their stadium.
Kilworthfox Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I'm not Gally's biggest fan, but some people have too much time on their hands & are completely overreacting. Ok Gally did not have a great 25 minutes, but to go outta your way & write stupid comments on a social site says alot more about the author than Gally
Kenners Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Twitter is the only real way players can interact with their fans in such a personal way. It would be a shame if they were to be forced off by some morons.

Loves nowt more than spending ages following the likes of gok wan and other 'celebs'... she told me that gally was getting tons of abuse last night. I'll say the same on here as I said to her.. It's a shame but if you 'put yourself out there' as a pro footballer or whatever you gotta be able to take whatever flak comes your way.. No likey no twitter...

Yeah I agree, I was just taken back at the level of abuse he was getting. Seems they're even laying into Hayley too also.

marbelladave Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 It's the abusive nature of the modern world. Nasty ill educated cyber thugs, they are shit people with shit lives, just have to take it out on someone. Personally I see nothing wrong in booing a poor performance but the kind of in your face personal abuse that is so commonplace these days is something else entirely. Gallagher was brought on lead the line, something that he has never done successfuly in all his time at the club, it was a very poor call by the management. It took him ten minutes or so to pick up the pace but by then the damage was done, he worked pretty hard thereafter, dropping back and covering and even tackling, he was as good as anyone in the last 15 minutes or so.
phillthefox Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 having been at florist yesterday i fail to see how gally gets the blame for our dropped points, some people are total morons,
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Gally is probably the most naturally gifted footballer at Leicester however tackling and digging in arent his best areas so to put him on at that stage of the game was a poor tactical decision IMO
General Smuts Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Ipswich keeper getting above his station. I'll have a word with his brother.
Len Finsbury Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Twitter is the only real way players can interact with their fans in such a personal way. It would be a shame if they were to be forced off by some morons. Twitter is the only way 'celebrities' can remain celebrities even when not on the tv or pitch etc. They have to be prepared to take the rough with the smooth.

sphericalfox Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 My 'missis' says that Hayley gives as good as she gets... Maybe that's why he wasn't able to run properly....
Webbo Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Why do players go on twitter when they know they're going to get this kind of abuse? If he'd have scored a controversial winner yesterday he'd have probably got abuse from Forest fans. None of these knobheads would have the balls to say anything to the players' faces.
liamsm Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Yeah I agree, I was just taken back at the level of abuse he was getting. Seems they're even laying into Hayley too also. she gives some of our supports stick so she is going to get some back, she aint immune just because she walked that little wall in china
liamsm Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 My 'missis' says that Hayley gives as good as she gets... so what does she give Gally when he is going out with the lass from the estate agents?
Tevez Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 You join twitter (famous) your available for abuse, praise etc. Simple.
