JCWfox Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Neither in the starting line up or bench tonight looks like their both off.
Larry_LCFC Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Or your reading too much into it considering 3 days ago martin waghorn vowed to fight for his place in the Leicester squad.
Petchy Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Cmon.. didn't need a new thread for this. Talk about it in the Bury thread.
JCWfox Posted 23 August 2011 Author Posted 23 August 2011 Or your reading too much into it considering 3 days ago martin waghorn vowed to fight for his place in the Leicester squad. Or im not, considering there has been talks off Southampton being very interested and he was not on the bench v Forest (whereas he was on bench for all previous games) and has been left out the whole squad tonight. You'd think he'd be given a chance tonight as it is against Bury!! All points in one direction.....goodbye waggy!
dave_the_fox Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Bye Waggy bye stevie. Thanks for everything, unfortunately your not just not good enough for promotion
Madrid_Fox Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Don't think Waghorn or Howard will go anywhere until a new striker comes in.
RizLCFC Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Bye Waggy bye stevie. Thanks for everything, unfortunately your not just not good enough for promotion Agreed. Not good enough replace with capable players!
Jimmy Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 no sub striker at all is a little odd considering we have 7 subs tonight
zubi Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Bye Waggy bye stevie. Thanks for everything, unfortunately your not just not good enough for promotion To be fair to them, we were close to going to Wembley with them in our first team.
dave_the_fox Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 To be fair to them, we were close to going to Wembley with them in our first team. Yep fair does pal  Maybe I should have said they don't suit our style any more
David Lowe Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I think this is an important issue which is separate from the Bury game. It appears that Howard and Waghorn are on the way. We have only got Nugent and Schlupp as out-and-out strikers. Schlupp is a good prospect but we can't rely on him at the moment. This means we are at least 2 strikers short yet all we are hearing is that we are one striker short of a complete squad.
Cropwellfox Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Don't think Waghorn or Howard will go anywhere until a new striker comes in. Agreed - and not on bench tonight smacks of not wanting to put at any risk of picking up an injury... What a long time a year is in football - Waghorn being given a real heroes welcome to not making the squad in a league cup tie...Barely starting a game in 12 months is going to be tough for the kid, i'm sure he'll thrive again if he's starting regularly. I'd certainly insist on a healthy sell-on clause in any deal, as I think his career will be in the ascendency again.

Darius Vassell played really well on Saturday upfront until he ran out of steam, he is an out and out striker remember
gazfox9 Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Don't think Waghorn or Howard will go anywhere until a new striker comes in. Rumour on the grape vine is Waggy's been spotted in the Morrisons car park...... In Bristol!
The People's Hero Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Or your reading too much into it considering 3 days ago martin waghorn vowed to fight for his place in the Leicester squad. To be fair, I could vow to run the 100m in 8 seconds or give that freakishly tall girl out of SHOW ME THE FUNNY the best night of her life, but both are extremely unlikely to happen. Unless her life has been extremely disappointing thus far. And I mean really really really disappointing, like one disaster to the next sort of thing.

m00nie Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 To be fair to them, we were close to going to Wembley with them in our first team. close.. but didnt.. 2 seasons ago.. howards now older.. slower.. clumsier..
Salieri Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 So Waggy is looking for a new club? Thought he wanted to stay and fight for his place according to reports.
Jaspa Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Sven on Waghorn: 'wants to leave' 'wanted to three weeks ago' 'Angry'
m00nie Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 cant blame him.. no ones fault. just think all bad timing in how things all went about.. good luck to him for the future
