Guest Col city fan Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Well taffyapple can report back that this fan thinks "deserved" earns you nothing in football. We lost, same as we lost over there last year and I wouldn't dream of trying to call the result on Sunday. Nor do I give a shit who anyone played or didn't play. A manager is free to put out the side he likes. Nothing abou t yesterday's selection or performance suggests we couldn't have won. But for whatever reasons we didn't. So, remembering last season's result and performance as well, I'd make Cardiff favourites for Sunday, not Leicester. Barnsley and Forest managed a draw with us, the latter coming from two goals behind, so quite how anyone would be confident of us getting an away win against almost any Championship side - let alone being "arrogant" about it - I don't know. Sounds like pschological mind games to me, just like the quotes about our so-called big spending. And Sven will have to cope with that in preparing his team. But In reality, I believe even some of our own fans would accept a draw right now given the chance. Would I? Not a chance. I'll take 90 minutes of total focus and commitment to winning. I see no real point in anything else. Yes, yes and yes... In that order
The Doctor Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Just been reading the BBC match report - some interesting choice of words: Left-back Andrew Taylor was allowed to advance unmolested and whipped in a fine cross that found Cowie, who flicked his header into the far corner.
lcfcjim Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I enjoyed last night, decent match. Felt we had enough through normal time - didnt fancy extra time, but when it went to penalties anything can happen, and unfortunately it didnt go our way. I though it was a good following aswell, considering a midweek match in Wales in the cup - possibly 6/700? could be wrong Special note to the two blokes behind us with their own rendition of the Wales national anthem early on - top marks. I also enjoyed someones, "Big John, big John big John big John, check it out!" - potential! Roll on Sunday!

Raw Dykes Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Not a cat in hells chance, sorry. That's ok. I understand - we'd probably have another Anne Robinson on Room 101 on our hands.

BrummieFOX Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 FAO Davie G - Where the highlights at, yo?!
The Doctor Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 FAO Davie G - Where the highlights at, yo?! Davie got banned from youtube because some site took his highlights video and put it up for all to see, meaning the FL were able to cotton on and place (another) copyright infringement complaint.

The Guvnor Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 Thought all the lads played well St Ledger played well,(unfortunately one mistake where he didn't clear the ball which led to their first goal).Pantsil , Johnson and Moussa being our best players IMO,game we bossed and should have won. They only had three chances which I can recall, weale good save in second half. A few players looked leggy in the second half so didn't rate our chances in extra time we held our own but didn't create much 8000 attendance woeful, good away support from us, crowd were stirred into a frenzy with Men of Harlech before kick off .
